There is an option to select windows OS template for this plan. Just curious of it would work considering it has only 10 GB storage.

  • If you can increase your budget a little more, you can try buyvm or naranjatech. I did not try buyvm vps yet. But, have a @naranjatech tech vps and renewed it recently.

You can buy a cheap vps (eg alex host's vps for 11.88 euros per year) and use it as a proxy. In this way, I pass 200k daily hits over this vps and incoming dmca mails are rejected by the alex host. Of course, behind the proxy there is a very powerful server :)

Actually, you can pick any server outside the USA. DMCA is afaik not applicable for EU countries. I would prefer Netherlands due to their Dutch Notice and Takedown (NTD) procedure. It will be processed manually and therefore slow.

My only hesitation with this approach - is there are many hosts outside of the USA that will take a DMCA request seriously and provide your logs and information to them as well.

It's better to find a company specifically ignoring DMCA.

For example a server cluster in sealand (my server cluster runs out of the west side, which is focused on US development). Because the country tries to do a lot of work with the US, they will uphold a DMCA request.

I considered Alex Host but it's only 10GB disk.
A movie is 4GB, so I can download only one at a time.

I went with @PulsedMedia that is €18 with 450GB disk.
It can serve website on https://hostname.pulsedmedia.com/public-username/ prefix.

You will probably be surprised but the vast majority of Russian hosts will also block accounts on DMCA complaint, and her big brother neighbors do the same. You need to find a specific host, not a country

  • @SpeedTest said: You will probably be surprised but the vast majority of Russian hosts will also block accounts on DMCA complaint, and her big brother neighbors do the same. You need to find a specific host, not a country

I did not talk about Russian hosting companies. Hosting owners can personally simply press the "Delete" button to cut off the intruder. You can't get it in real life, any local court will simply refuse your request from outside Russia. Ex the USSR also. For example, Belarus.

All EU member states fully cooperate with the United States and must follow all requests from them. Switzerland and the United Kingdom as well. Do not forget about NATO membership

  • @SpeedTest said: You will probably be surprised but the vast majority of Russian hosts will also block accounts on DMCA complaint

Show me a real example proof when in Russia in court banned a hosting company because of the request of the DMCA?

Russian hosts presented on the LET simply brave in the form of ethnic morality with the attitude of this problem

Never heard about this name. Show me an example, where the court forbade someone at the request of DMCA. If you are watching something like the Varlamov channel, it is not very objective for some things.

Of course, they must respond to any real criminal activity. Loading and watching movies and listening to the song is not a crime.

I need it too :) and not only me. My friend that moved to Germany uses this server for nextcloud and torrenting (seedbox), he says torrents are not allowed in Germany. This server also has 16TB of HDD, dunno why YABS doesn't see it.
