Arrgh! x2
congrats @FAT32 ! very very well deserved! did you even sleep?
Thanks! I did ofcourse
We should probably ask that to @VirMach, last I talked to him he said he is a workaholic... I hope he sleep more nowadays
Congrats to be the winner @FAT32 ! Lucky and deserved!
Sorry I missed that you were being the grammar police. Thank you for trying to improve my English. I realize that that my English is not like a native speaker, it was one of the reasons why I only posted memes in my earlier days at LET. My grammar, and sentence structure is probably a bit better in Spanish since I'm from Mexico.
Just woke up.
Nice. Congratulations @FAT32
May be detective @VirMach will uncover more treasures. 🪙
I noticed the early start on a Sunday morning!
Which will be a damn sight better than my Spanish, amigo.
TBH, your English is that good (most of the time) that the non-native bit is barely noticeable.
[Edit] Native English can't get then/than right in many cases - for some obscure reason - so that doesn't help others in the slightest.
Congrats to @FAT32. You deserve it!!
today is a good day for amigos of LET and shit day for maijijis!!!!
I still have really bad English days, when my sentences become 20+ words long and filled with commas because I just can't say what I mean.
I don't really understand the difference between then and than. When is the proper time to use "than instead of "then"?
Wow, I’m really happy for you! @FAT32
See sig.
If @Virmach would've had more IPs per VPS available then I'd have bought more.
A Ryzen is better than an E3 - allegedly.
Performance scale: Atom then E3 then Ryzen
Hardly surprising, as it's such a screwed up language, with frequent gotchas and exceptions. Personally, I get in a muddle 'cos I pick up on accents and even in writing it bridges various English dialects, as some may have spotted.
Then is time or conditional, like an if/then statement or Joe did this, then he did that, then he died, it separates the time things happen, he didn't die at the same time he did this and that. Than is a comparison, this vs that, this is more expensive than.
Staffs makes me cringe a little.... even if it is American correct.
i shall stave off such anachronisms with my staves!
Thank you @AlwaysSkint and @bakageta I now understand the difference and will attempt to do better than I did in the past.
Agreed and I didn't know that, respectively. It's also a short-form of Staffordshire (English County).
There are a heap of "collective nouns" that don't have a plural, which is what I was trying to highlight - this doesn't appear to be too common in other languages. Other examples: sheep, information etc.
A cringe one is "draw" instead of "drawer", which is down to bad pronunciation in some parts of England.
In Australia drawers is basically pronounced 'droz' so we have a similar issue XD.
Though the fact drawers is both a unit with sliding storage and a pair of underpants does give amusement.
@DogbertPrime 32gb ram? They perform great. I used to have 32gb 2x1tb /28 for $29/m. Pretty fast.
As does the use of pants, rather than trousers strides.
Don't even go there, with fanny packs!
MOAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR
and we have a third "donor"

More deals... 🎉
Awesome work detective @VirMach
congratulations
@virmach I need this machine, please return it to me,
I have not violated any rules, why should I cancel? Is this fair?
Did you read the promotion rules and the terms of service when you purchased the server from VirMach?
I read the rules, but cancelled the machine and closed the account without telling me to issue the ticket
I don't see what the problem is here.
