I sincerely hope so.
It's coming alright. It'll be hilarious when the people who have bought them on resale suddenly find out they've been stiffed.
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
That means dummy account, right?
Wait, what about my account?
I have no idea but seems plausible.
If it was me, I'd cancel those bogus/bot "grabs" and charge them the cost of the package as an administrative fee i.e. zero refunds. That'll maybe sort some of them out for next year.
Just caught up past 10 pages after thinking everything was over. Good work on the Sherlock Virmach! How I picture VirMach when he runs the cleanup scripts:
My virmach vps is in read-only mode.
Oh damn! I missed out on store credit because I was asked to open a ticket in this thread
We need to help Virmach code bot catchers that make them buy the shitty servers when they think they're getting the good ones.
so google translating that forum is a nightmare (not recommended) but I found something interesting in one of the vir888 posts on there.
So from what I gather they are saying here: it looks like the system has a major flaw in that you can pre-add a some sort of blank package to your cart then just checkout when the deal you want comes up? I think? the translate is so broken
Can you send me the link? I understand Chinese. Btw, please be reminded only .com is the official site, .net and .xxx etc are community created mirrors (some of them even steal the credentials from mirror site when people login from wrong ones)
go to 💯 page
👊🏾
The id for the flash services was all the same for the purposes of adding it to the cart. That's why some people ended up with the next offer instead the one they wanted.
So these people added a lesser offer to their cart beforehand, and just completed the purchase when they saw the best offer. The system would register it as the best offer.
That's the VirMach version of sniping.
Oh wow. I don't think we really had a chance then.
I added that to the link as to hide the URL from SEO, no need to give that site anyting I did not realize that domain was actually registered.
I also sent you the link.
will be happy to see all especially $8.88 deals resold for a profit, then obliterated and donated to legit member instead.
Even better when the new owner thanks the fraudster who paid for it
I can confirm what you understand is correct. I recall VirMach used to have logic to clear the cart but I can roughly guess where went wrong in the code.
IIRC a similar issue came up before, back in 2017 or 2018, I think. Didn't @VirMach say at the time that to be a valid sale you had to go through the steps in the cart?
Does anyone else remember this?
Or am I totally wrong here?
Yup I remember exactly the same thing too, VirMach might have changed the code logic and caused this to appear again.
I hope they get cancelled

@VirMach halp
So who got those $8.88 ?
I have not seen anyone here comment on getting one. Only folks at HostLoc.
Although some members here said they got $11.88, $10.88, and $9.88 deals.
Well.. Not me
