  • Hey @tomazu I don't have any services with you at the moment but I only heard good things about your servers so kudos to you ;)

Upgraded to the new plan, and then this happened:

    CPU 11.9%

    CPU steal

    Everyone else is benching?

Not sure what you mean? CPU is at 11.9%?

Look at the cyan part: steal is over 80%.
    VirMach performs better than this.

I've shutdown the server for now until @cybertech gang finishes benching.

    So the cause was:

I think that this was caused by one of our anti-abuse scripts which - if it detects sustained bursts - will limit the CPU usage to 12,5% or 25% per core depending on some factors. I think that either during the upgrade or thereafter (maybe a reboot, rescue system launch or reinstall?) something triggered that script and your VPS was the limited to 12,5-25% CPU per core, which would explain you maxing out the CPU usage at approx. 12% and the high st% you are seeing.

    As said,
our anti abusive system tracks when someone does to high load for to much time.
You just have a shared cpu, not a dedicated.
You should stop benchmarking and just use it normally, and the speed will come back.

today a lot of people stared making continuous benchmarks.

I put my hand on the YABS bible and swear to the YABS gods that the @cybertech gang (those inspired by @cybertech, which may or may not include @cybertech himself) is doing all the benching.

Anyway, I restarted the server and the speeds returned to normal.
Webhosting24 is once again my best server in Europe (routed /48 yay).

  • I have 02 servers with them and both are fast af and provide insane value compared to anything else I have ever used. I rate them in the same league as php-friends and netcup because of the value and quality of service they provide.
