Do you guys reply thank you back on the ticket after the problem is solved or you just close the ticket? I always want to know this, if the provider is busy and your ticket is set to high priority.

    Depends.

I usually try to get the customer to say that everything is resolved even if I know it is. I don't like just closing a ticket. It's like on TV when somoeone hangs up a phone without saying goodbye, I always think, "Who does that?"

I prefer a quick, "Thanks for the update. If the issue is now resolved, please let us know or the ticket will automatically close within the next few days." or something.

I gotta control my sleep now 😂😂

Sleep?! What is that? Stop buying sleep! Nobody buys sleep on Black Friday.

Oh dang it! My first BF actually following this thread and i just realized this just might be too entertaining NOT to hit the coffee pot and SKIP sleep :)

Then bring those DMCA seedbox offers, for the courageous, for the bold, for the strong ones who lasted with and without caffeine.

  • I’m going to bed. Tell the guy who keeps quoting Japanese terms and text at me that I love him.

  • @PulsedMedia Any chance of a deal right now 😬?

    1TB Samsung 840 EVO SSD
    30TB Bandwidth @ 1Gbit/s
    /29 IPv4
    Instant Setup
    Las Vegas (Fiberhub facility)
    PROMOCODE: 1JK3RCXR87

    Order For $199/year

The coupon code worked, I got through the checkout, but the invoice was generated for the full price ($299). halp! Order #7942040921 :/

I ended up getting it! My invoice was adjusted to the discounted price. My first and probably last flash sale impulse purchase this Black Friday. Thank you @Hassan <3

I was looking for a VPS with 8+ GB RAM and 300+ GB SSD in the USA, and this is the closest I've seen to those specs, albeit in a dedicated server.

You got way more than your needs, so you did great. Congratulations and enjoy it.

EDIT: I know you must be tired, but when you have time... a YABS of that HUGE thing would be nice.

That is what makes it weird. It's late, and it's just backup.

yeah lol, but then usually the order/client pages dont get many clicks so why bother, untill they make a deal..

Anyway, I did not know LET was so much into backup. I may have lost the offer, but I am happy people care about their data so much to break a provider website in their attempts to backup the data.

Not too tired; it's only 4:50 PM here and I don't stay up late for any of the flash sales. Right now, my wife is out doing Black Friday shopping and I'm at home constantly refreshing this flash sale thread

This is on the fresh Debian 10 install they provided, with no changes made. I'd like to install Debian 11 myself... I should be able to boot into the Debian ISO using GRUB (via grub-imageboot), and the server does have IPMI, but I have no idea how to use it since I haven't used a dedicated server in a very long time (last time I used a dedicated server was an AMD AthlonXP or Core2Duo back in 2007 or so, when it was very rare to have something like IPMI or KVM).

The disk is quite old (72,597 power-on hours) but I kinda expected that on a system of this vintage, at this price.

For sure, I've been burned too many times by shady LEBs. I am currently using BuyVM block storage slabs ($5/TB/MO) so looking to turn that into my hot backups and now I need something cheaper for cold backups.

If anyone has alternatives that are near $1/TB/mo then I'd appreciate a link
