Collating BF 2021 Storage Dedi Deals
I'm still on the lookout for a dedicated storage server to host VM backups in Europe. Ideally for a TrueNAS / Proxmox Backup Server (no, I'm not looking for "ISO" storage).
In the meantime, I thought it'd be good to collate what I've found so far below - perhaps it'll save someone else from going through pages and pages in the main thread
OVH

Terrahost

I'm currently using a Hetzner AX51 with 2x 8TB and I added 2x ~200gb SSD's (back when they and the IP's were still super cheap) for about €74/month.
I've read too many OVH and OneProvider horror stories, which makes me hesitant. Has anyone had a good experience with either of them?
The Pulsed Media deal is awesome, but I fear the processor is underpowered for my use case.
If you come across any other deals or have any recommendations, please post them below!
Happy hunting

There's nothing wrong with OVH. OneProvider kits is fine, their support is horrible.
I keep reading that OVH support sucks too?
Also, 16GB of RAM just isn't enough
A couple of other providers have storage but it's delayed 2-4 weeks to get hardware.
Make it 2-4 months.
Then it will become 2-4 years.
I feel like a LowEndBox/LowEndTalk centric provider should be able to provide a compelling offer here... someone needs to step up.
It's fine, in my experience. I just had a disk shit it pants during a reinstall of a dedi, support are already on it.
If you need hand holding. If you just need working gear or quick hardware repair they should be just fine.
Awesome. Might grab it then.
What about adding hardware? Can I buy more RAM?
Doesn’t look like this is the year for storage dedi’s!
Did anyone manage to snag a good deal?
Still looking for one. Might get the hosthatch or serverica 2TB server.
This is making me want to start a storage line…
