Ahh, I got confused deciding Liteserver or Inception with Clouvider network for my second VPS.

    Already have one with Inception.

Aol of them are very tempting.

They are both quite stable and production ready, imo. However, having used Liteserver last year, I moved to Inceptionhosting due to higher uplink speed and better network / peering all around (Clouvider).

    Liteserver -----
    Clouvider ------
    Inception -------
What are their advantages and disadvantages

inceptionhosting does not seem to be sold to Asian customers

Inception is owned by Clouvider and is hosted on their hardware / network, except their storage servers in Phoenix, which are with IOFlood.

So, comparison is essentially between LiteServer and Clouvider. I prefer the latter, as they have a better network and their nodes are usually 10G instead of 1G, so I am able to max my work / home connections out.

Both use good hardware and offer stable, production-ready services. So, its all upto individual network requirements which can be tested using their looking glasses.

Lastly, IH DOES accept customers from Asia. China != the entire damn continent.

    $0.02

I am a customer in China

This is very unfair to us

Didn't you receive an email telling Your /64 IPv6 subnet will get allocated after your order has been verified (in general within 12 hours)?

  • Nice offers and prem provider, have 2 VPS from previous BFs, must recommend ;)

    Thanked by 1LiteServer
  • "Please check your email and follow the link to verify your email address." - no email is coming!

  • Nice! Would get 2 more of the storage VPS for backup.

So bad connection with Germany and Denmark not only today. I checked almost every day last 2 weeks.

  • I will renew my VPS I got at BF2020, didn't really had any major issue with them, even thou I wonder why their Europe mainland latency is so high. 22ms to Norway but 18ms to Berlin and 30ms to Italy is really weird.

  • dmca ignored or not?

  • @verydima

Can you do a wget test to Hetzer test file?

Is the network that bad? I'm planning to buy one.

IPv4 is slightly faster. In general this speed to Hetzner is not too bad

  • @LiteServer I have a question what is actually if you run over the VPN torrent sharing or any things where the authority asks you for user data of the server operator.

Do you give out data or do you just suspend the server and leave it at that.

If they get a court order, they must have contacted you multiple times because copyright holders send out DMCA emails at first.

So the question is, how do they respond to DMCA notices. Most probably they won’t allow excessive copyright infringement.

  • @Kousaka @LiteServer

I'm actually not talking only about dmca and copyright infringement but also in general, does liteserver give out the data to law enforcement agencies as an example if you run hate speech on Facebook and co over the VPN or other things

  • Been with Liteserver since last BF and haven't had ONE hitch. Gonna try that HDD-2G storage plan.
