OpenVZ 7, right?
Yup!
yabs me baby
i had one in the past and i re-bought it today
the reason i cancelled last time was a long downtime right after i began using it. apparently there was more downtimes as well.
im giving them another shot
@TNAHosting what is the raid configuration?
RAID 10
@TNAHosting Do you intentionally have a ~150 IOPS limit for both reads and writes? Generally reads should be much faster than writes with RAID10, but this benchmark shows writes as faster which doesn't really make sense.
software raid 10 maybe?
We don't have any IOPS limits in place
The limitation could comes from the HW, and HDD performs pretty much same IOPS for random reads and writes.
have special dedicated server now ? Please DM me if so
155 IOPS is pretty bad performance even for a HDD...
You're assuming 15k drives. ;-)
i agree bad iops otherwise i would of tried it out. my local raid 6 with old sas 3tb drives read atleast 6-10Mbps @ 4k random
Mbps != MB/s
Not a lot faster. Perhaps the host has hardware RAID with battery backup, so is reporting the operation as complete before the data is fully written to disk (which is safe with a good controller that has battery backed or non-volatile cache, as writes lost to power issues can be replayed on startup). Even without early completion responses, a write cache can improve speed by allowing write re-ordering.
Could also mean they have a write cache without battery backup enabled of course, which is much less safe in a power-out situation, especially if write reordering is involved.
Congratulations on correcting my autocorrected keyboard. We've doubled your uptime!
What happens if you go over your traffic?
Is this actual RAM? Amazing deal!
If monthly bandwidth limit is reached, the server is auto suspended until it resets the following month.
Yup!
I got issues to order. You there?
Tna very good. only thing I wanted was free ingress bandwith
I submitted a ticket and speeds are much better now:
