Alright then I didn't see this in the rules. I thought since this account wasn't going to be used anymore it was ok. I think I specified this when applying for a provider tag. Either way, I will use this account if you want
Congratulation for your Grand Launching
I'm invoking rule 35.
Might be overlooked on our side, there isn't a clear definition of this in our rules yet but creating a new brand is too easy and we don't want this to be a loophole for multiple accounts.
I understand you want a more generic name so you changed from HostUp LLC to DFDB LLC. You can choose whether to keep just @ezeth account, or only @HostUp. But I believe if you keep @HostUp it will be more trustable when you say you are around since 2018.
Well, I still thing things went somewhat well. I am currently fixing the minor issues on the website and I also fixed the mail templates so you will get mail when you order.
@fat32 if he keeps @ezeth he is not allowed to post shared offers until he has had the account for 6 months
Fixed. It's still safe to use, just wrong hostname!

@cociu is that you?
Isnt the point of a certificate is to have the right name?
Of course. It's fixed now
Helpful advice - have your wife/significant other or the guys you go drinking with try to order something and let them tell you all of the errors they see. Something just seems wrong about all of this.

Well I agree the launch could have been more prepared. But it's a launch and I have already fixed these issues now.
OK SOME THINGS SKETCHY
1. Speeds don't seem like SSD more like HDD
2. Is this OV7? Why not KVM
3. WHY IS THERE A HARD CAP OF 1.1 K IOPS
YABS:
hostnamectl status:

@skorupion look at @hostup other threads. It was open vz 7 there and there were some public issues noted as well
1. Speeds don't seem like SSD more like HDD. Tell me an HDD that has 1k IOPS
2. Is this OV7? I said it was openvz 7 in the thread. I like OVZ. You can upgrade without rebooting and resizing. It's so simple
3. WHY IS THERE A HARD CAP OF 1.1 K IOPS. Your average HDD can only handle 50-100 IOPS. This hardcap is to prevent abuse
Isn't it SSD?
too be fair, it is cheap. but the disk limit does seem excessive
1k IOPS and 100 MB/s disk limit seems fine to me. I don't see where you would need more on a 0.6-1usd/month vps other than it looking better on a benchmark.
The limit is there for your sake. If there would be no limit, one could abuse it and max it out causing stability issues
If it was quickly then idk what would it be if I didn't wait for GB5 to fail
if this host lasts more than 6 months its not a bad deal even with the very heavy IO limits
yeah, still a killer deal
Oh yeah. Haven't you seen these kind of videos. The boomer always drinks monster
Dude. I literally spent 300USD on the logo. I'm sure I can afford the colocation for more than 6 months. I plan on having this up for many years to come.
Ok Boomer
Hi @HostUp / @ezeth ,
Beautiful website you have. I love it.
A couple things:
On https://boomer.host/shared-hosting it says "Custom Control
Panel: Our intuitive control panel gives you admin access to all of
your __________ products easily." Not sure if you really wanted to have "__________" there. [ I redacted the name in case you want to change it]. Thought I'd mention it.
The contact email on your site doesn't seem to work, just bounces back to gmail.
A question: When configuring a VPS package, it lets me choose
between Ubuntu and CentOS. Any way to later reinstall with Debian 10,
or would I need to stay on Ubuntu or CentOS?
Thanks! Appreciate any help.
Hey, thanks, and thanks for the information. I fixed the issues!
Sorry, right now only Ubuntu and CentOS is an option, even when reinstalling. I can add Debian 10 tomorrow though!
gonna have to start gen z host
Any plans to offer more than 4GB ram?
