Location? Latency test? Network test?
Sums it up ...
gee I wonder why
Testing IP helps in to check the server ping, speed. Before buying anything, I recommend you to test IP.
can anyone give example for the bad and good ip?
Anything is fine for testing IP unless ICMP is blocked.
Bad ip would be 127.0.0.1
Also for ARIN lookups.
No, thats exactly the reason why many people want to have a test ip, because it depends on your location and aim of usage / target region if it's good or bad.
For me, Japan is bad -> 27.120.102.123 -> 290-300ms ping
And Germany is good -> 84.200.193.149 -> 20ms ping
If I'd like to do a blog in swedish I expect most visitors coming from Sweden. So I would try to figure out if a specific provider has low pings to sweden. As simple as that.
