    Sums it up ...

  • Test IP

    gee I wonder why

  • Testing IP helps in to check the server ping, speed. Before buying anything, I recommend you to test IP.

  • can anyone give example for the bad and good ip?

  • Anything is fine for testing IP unless ICMP is blocked.

    Bad ip would be 127.0.0.1

  • Also for ARIN lookups.

    No, thats exactly the reason why many people want to have a test ip, because it depends on your location and aim of usage / target region if it's good or bad.

    For me, Japan is bad -> 27.120.102.123 -> 290-300ms ping

    And Germany is good -> 84.200.193.149 -> 20ms ping

    If I'd like to do a blog in swedish I expect most visitors coming from Sweden. So I would try to figure out if a specific provider has low pings to sweden. As simple as that.
