We'll shortly send out an email to all customers with delayed deliveries. Sharing it here for the record.

Thank you for placing an order with us in our Black Friday 2020 promotions.

You currently have one or more pending servers in your account. While we promised a 7 working days delivery time, we were not, unfortunately, able to keep this promise for all of the customers who ordered new servers.

We are changing the ETA of your service delivery to 14th December, 2020. This gives us a few more days to provision your server in a way that we feel more comfortable with as we are still processing pending servers in small batches, rather than one single go which can create unexpected issues. It is likely that you will get your new server in the next few hours, but it is also likely that it might take up till Monday. Due to the volume of the servers involved, we cannot give you an exact time. But we can promise you that it will not take more time than Monday.

We understand that this delay may be inconvenient and as such, will provide you with a full refund and an apology, should you no longer want to proceed with creating these new servers after having waited for 7 working days. We do however hope that you will give us a few more days to get you up and running.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if we can provide any assistance, but please note that we will not be able to entertain requests for faster deliveries. We are already doing the best we can, and cannot give priority to one customer over another.

This email does not apply to pre-orders in Milan, Madrid and Hong Kong, which have an ETA of 31st December. We do not expect any delays on that ETA.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I haven't received this email (I ordered an all-location combo package), should I be worried?

    You aren't alone.

  • 9 out of 12 servers already delivered. really happy with the performance. also i opened a ticket today regarding missing ipv6 and everything was resolved within 2 hours. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Multiple hours between replies. Customers seem happy now. Slowly, this thread is now reaching a state of entropy.

Sad, isn't it? I am extremely happy with my VPS's - now I just wish I bought more. :)

Having fully read the HostHatch TOS and AUP I would like to compliment the writer. Although at first glance it may appear to overly cover HostHatch from bad actors as customers and everything else under the sun. It also appears to bind HostHatch to the confidentiality of any proprietary or confidential data that I may have on their servers. Very few providers on LET make this commitment explicitly. Well done.

to detect and track nfs fraudulent attempts to login to your storage seems it's possible to enable logging with rpcdebug -m nfsd -s auth on server (then search e.g. /var/log/messages, /var/log/syslog, etc. depending on your distro). When per user separated network will be available with rpcdebug -m nfsd -c all it's possible to disable all logs

@hosthatch any specific reason 2G RAM NVMe VMs are on 10G, while VMs with 8G RAM are on 1G? Is it totally random? A bunch of VMs of mine are 1G, while the rest are on 10G.

  • What happend to the Ubuntu 20.04 template? I'm sure I saw it a few days ago, but now there's only Debian 10 and Ubuntu 18.04... What?

You can update ubuntu 20.04 from 18.04, the process would take less than 15 minutes..

  • There is also the option of custom ISO uploaded.

I am afraid it will be a more complicated solution especially when setting IPv6.

That and why the fuck are people still posting ticket no. here?

This should be a captcha test. "Please prove youre not a bot. Did you post your ticket no. in the Hosthatch 2020 BF thread? yes/no"

    Thanked by 1bdl
  • The reason they think the ticket is going to get expedition if they post it, the way I see it they will answer it when they get around to it.

Goes to show that people should really make use of the processes in place rather than using the forums for support and billing related inquiries/issues.

They have more people to monitor and deal with tickets compared to forums where it's usually just 1 person, and in HostHatch's case, it may be 2.
