That's LET spirit! (But after a year you have nothing if you grab the "yolo package", while an evo 860 would likely be kicking ass in your laptop!)
"so much this!"
Exactly. In many cases I'd assume that people did their best but didn't understand how to order / how to behave. If your english vocabulary is too limited, the terms on the OP might be too complicated, and if you're unsure of your understanding you might decide to ask again or to send your ticket number in the thread just in case.
....or until I run away in my new Buggati?
But.....yolo > evo 860?
I am definitely with you on that. I am fortunate enough - largely thanks to my work - to be able to travel a lot, and I have been in many countries where English is not the first language, including a lot of countries where some 'problem clients' come from. And I have been shown a lot of compassion and love when I am on the other side of the language barrier.
But then sometimes the language excuse is....just an excuse. Not saying that is the case all the time though, and I definitely empathize with people with a genuine language barrier.
Someone was asking earlier "when the server will be delivered", and he got flamed by everyone here for not reading the original post. He then said "I don't speak english".
My question is - if you do not speak English and cannot understand '7 working days' in the original post' - how will you understand it when I write '7 working days' again?
Some of you clearly have not worked in customer service before, or simply have unrealistic expectations from these incredibly affordable services.
I've been dealing with TMobile, a BILLION dollar company, since Friday trying to take advantage of a couple of their promotions and it's a PAIN IN THE ARSE. You'd think this BILLION dollar company would have simple things like "xyz line or xyzzy new phone" would simply show up after you call someone, but NOPE. I've spent countless hours to make sure they weren't going to rip me off- because, we know big ass companies like that have a history of doing so,, but, small companies like HostHatch? I've never dealt with them, but I trust them enough to spend several hundred dollars. I have much more confidence in them that they'll pull through than some BILLION dollar company that really doesn't give a shit about me.
I've had VPSs since 2004 (and dedis prior to that), and been buying ones from here since 2013. Reputation matters and the hosts that have had good reps I'm still giving them money. My oldest and most expensive VPS $50/mo I've had since 2009. Could I get a better deal elsewhere? Absolutely. But their support is top notch and if it ain't broke, I sure as hell won't fix it. Meanwhile, over the years, I've moved clients from godaddy, dreamhost, squarespace, etc., because these places don't give them the support and trust they need (that I can give). And while I may not give them instant support, they know I got their back and that's what matters. I have a feeling @hosthatch is the same and I'm looking forward to building a long relationship with them, too.
When do I get my server I am illiterate .
How do you plan on doing this? Through something like GlusterFS?
SSHFS also works.
iSCSI
Rsync
Cifs
NFS is the easiest (and possibly fastest), but sadly it offers no encryption.
SSHFS was on my mind. Though I am not aware of all the detailed specifics. Was thinking of figuring that out as I go.
Can just do it over wg.
Good ideas... maybe bringing it all together with MergerFS?
Quick question: If I cancel a server, is it possible to convert renaming time of that server into credit on the account? It would be nice if I can use the credit for my next invoice instead of let it idle for the rest of the billing period.
It has been the worst Cyber Monday in the last 5 years, expecially that circus with Hosthatch'es flash deals. LET worked terribly, I have seen Cloudflare's fucking screen instead of the posts.
Flash deals were fine, some are still live.
Can someone tell me if the standard NVMe deals are still active or not?
No they are not
That sort of material is censored in my country.
Do you want mine? it's not biennial but same config.
Plot twist: Racknerd is here for long term and HostHatch just planned his exit strategy.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused!
Any guide, pls?
Not your problem, it is Cloudflare's fault for showing such screens.
@hosthatch
Are the regular plans instant now or still expect 7 days? Need to buy some VPS.
Generate a private and public key on each server (see the Wireguard documentation), and ensure the servers have each other's public keys as a
[Peer]in the Wireguard config. This is commonly called a "point to point" or "peer to peer" VPN. There's no one central "server"; peers instead directly connect to each other. Wireguard does this very well.
DigitalOcean's tutorial looks decent: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-create-a-point-to-point-vpn-with-wireguard-on-ubuntu-16-04
I have Haproxy ( VPS NVMe ) and Nextcloud ( VPS Storage ) working great with private ipv4
But this need to be the two of them hosted in the same data center if private ip is used, right?
