I am bumping this to bring some more well deserved exposure to the project.
I came here from Google, and I was expecting more feedback for panel like this, in a forum like this (given how many of us try to make an efficient use of our resources).
I ve been a long time user of vestacp, but the lack of updates lately is more than worrying.
However, I still love their nginx+php/fpm implementation (multiple wp instances with such a low amount of ram used is next to impossible with apache), so hestiacp is now my new toy
Congrats to the devs, looking forward to that file manager extension (wp 1-click installation is now implemented as well).
Awaiting the mod_security breakthrough, to make it more viable.
@AlwaysSkint is in the making, but it will NOT be part of the next feature release (1.2.0) - will follow in a later release:https://forum.hestiacp.com/t/modsecurity-and-owasp-rule-set/476/18
HestiaCP still use Apache. I can't find a way to customize the installer to use only nginx like vesta
@yokowasis maybe here https://github.com/hestiacp/hestiacp#custom-installation or here https://docs.hestiacp.com/getting_started.html#all-available-options-of-install-script?
I must miss it. Tell me something, when we don't install apache, does the nginx can still act as a reverse proxy / load balancer ? or it just straight up replace apache. Because I sometimes install a few of hestia , and one of them act as a load balancer.
Yeah, nginx can still act as reverse proxy/load balancer, depends on the template you use. If you got any further questions, just take a look at our forum: https://forum.hestiacp.com - a few questions about custom templates and proxy has been already answered, if you can't find what you need - just create a new thread.

I used Vestacp for a long time
We learned today that it is dangerous. due to lowendtalk
I'm switching to Hestiacp now.
This is what I want to say to my countrymen through my blog
Thanks everyone
@anu glad to hear! If you have any troubles, just give a shout out in our forum (https://forum.hestiacp.com).
@ScIT Hestia 1.2.0 (RC) version looks very promising, keep up the good work !
