Shh I edited the post LOL
I want p176
Ok... Found the
100% off first year flash sales. Thank you @FAT32 for the cluesnice
That's a good one, congrats.
EDIT: redacted
Idling
Any hints for 90%off?
The fun with egg is when there are a little challenge. If there are too much hint, Virmach should just post link in clear and we are back to complain about flash sale. Deal with it.
A "little challenge" is an hour. A few days is a big challenge.
Well ok. My point is just that some people jump there and ask for hint without even try. My previous post was a answer to that.
Ok, I have removed my request for a hint above.
Was not directed to you. I know you really looked. I'm find with a bit of help AFTER you try.
Back to searching pages 80 to 100...
How many post to go to p176 ?
50 posts/page. My post here is about #45.
Then four more.
I think another challenge will be to make the eggs a bit more bot/cyborg resistant.
what I mean by "cyborg" is basically what I now plan to do (if I get a round tuit) - that is, scripting the download of relevant pages to grep the raw HTML (and possibly triggering the "quote" links to get at the markdown source) - thus reducing the tedious effort to get the essential material in front of my human eyeballs for more mindful processing.
scripting this may or may not require some sophisticated cookie-mongering to run the cloudflare gauntlet (or maybe better to do it via javascript from a proper browser)
while this approach may take more time and thoughtful effort ... for me at least it seems to be more satisfying and less crazy-making than the "click a link, wait for page load, skim comments until eyes glaze over, open a dozen more tabs, crash browser, lather, rinse, repeat" ...
but this scriptable cyborgery will surely soon be just that much more grist for the bot mill (if it isn't already) - and it's maybe not entirely fair for people who aren't well-versed in this type of programming ... (Not that I'm any kind of expert, just an interested amateur when it comes to web stuff. I do know how to program though.)
so I would suggest some more of the "obvious to engaged humans but Turing-testable" stuff such as what @FAT32 did with the fake math .pdf (and maybe even consider more eggs based on clues contained in images and videos)
EDIT2: s/Turing test/Winograd schema challenge/
Not sure it worth the time to code that script. You may miss the eggs anyway and if you don't find it you will spend your time on it anyway.
Just post a link to a 20 minute video with the egg hidden at a random point.
Pages 176 ?
Edit : nope
Well, most if not all eggs designed by me for VirMach BF 2019 are quite bot proof
Edit: Page 176!
Here we go, only 24 pages more needed.
After three years of flash sales, that free KVM-Lite for a year, and a forthcoming unknown surprise, I have all that I need. I am just doing the eggs for the fun of it, and to keep the thread going.
I need to focus.
Yeah (my Python bot agrees).
Is that a magic bus?
yes
Bus 176. 24 to go.
That went right over my head. Time for coffee.
