don't get your hopes up too high, mine is processing for 11 days now, but I am pretty sure you will receive it if you ordered by CC, the question is when
Still waiting since the 25th. Taking the piss now.
welcome to the club!
Oles@Tweet Augmentin is a tomorrow 100x limit KS-16G / person.
Can someone translate this properly?
Sold Out n'est certainement pas définitif. On ment pas: no delai à annoncer de la part d'Intel. dés qu'on l'a, on l'annonce
Sold Out is certainly not definitive. We lie: no delay in announcing the Intel. dice that has, on the announcement
@xset my guess, the most important is the 1st sentence: "it's not sold out for good" (i.e. not forever, and will be back in stock). The rest is something about "blah blah, blame Intel not us".
Going to call tomorrow, if they can't give me any usefull information I'm going to ask for a refund. I'm not in the mood to wait for so long,
At the beginning i got arround 12MB/s now middle in the Night here in Europe i got only 3-4MB/s.... so yeah without running any download thing just a gameserver
What really annoys me is that people ordered 2-3 days after me and got their server within hours. I have no problem with waiting, but when shit like this is happening - I start questioning whether OVH is worth it.
Calling won't do you any good, a lot of us have tried.
@infinity580 http://weathermap.ovh.net/gravelines .. shows no traffic at all
I get around 10 MB/s now.
Ofc it does. The load is just only at 1-2%. Look at the numbers.
@ska right.. too small for my eyes
If the Gbit switch is under high load you cant see this here...
I know, but I can ask for a refund.
Interestingly though the 4G and 16G KS availability has now gone down to 72 hour instead of the 1-10 days..
This is the question.
Well, judging by amount of drama over 3 EUR offer, for most people it's the question of life and death.
I envision posts somewhere on Google News about mass suicides, attacks on you-know-whose datacenters and so on. "Teh drama" must unleash to the fullest!
(consumed all popcorn available, switching to smoked tea)
@master_bo nothing but a stunt;) for some it will be 5,56 eur/month server, not 3 eur/month!
Mea culpa. It's even greater drama, then! So huge an investment!
Wow I can't believe OVH actually wrote that. That's totally retarded spelling.
Anyway, it says " The sold out is not definitive. We don't lie: we didn't get any news from Intel. As soon as we have news from Intel, we'll announce it. "
They seem to expect to get new processors but waiting for Intel to confirm it. From what I can understand.
If someone needs anything fast in french you can PM me, I'm from Quebec (Canada) my native language is french. If I've some free time I'll be happy to help you.
As I said some place else and ppl attacked me for it, their french is mauvais.
Their French is mauvais because Oles/Octave and his parents immigrated to France from Poland in 1991. French isn't their native tongue.
Just noticed its sold out now too, about time, seems they are having a lot of trouble fulfilling orders.
It just shows the level of professionalism in the company, but I mean, why pay someone to handle PR when your dad can do it or your cousin? Anyway, I think they apply the same rules to the other parts of the business (support, billing, etc), and that's why they are in this mess right now, let's hope they did not apply the same "cuts" when building the datacenter.
Screw that kind of "professionalism", I will trade anything a "paid PR person" will try to b/s me with, for the current situation where we have the actual business owner openly telling things just how they are.
That works when the "actual business owner" knows different languages, or at least speaks natively one language (English, French, Spanish), and since the company is international, I think English is mandatory. Also a PR person does not have to feed you bullshit, they can simply "translate" in formal language what the illiterates are trying to say.
Anyway let me give you an example on how your text would sound, in Oles:
"screw that profesionalism. i dont wanna talk to any PR person that tell me bullshit. i wanna talk to the business owner to find out whats going on"
And I am not mentioning the cryptic acronyms like: CB, BC, GRA. Anyway, I do not have anything against small businesses or family businesses, but OVH is long past that stage, still they try to apply the same rules, anyway, for me this experience felt like an experiment, I saw a guy changing his mind over night several times, and having fun with thousants of customers after taking their money, then leaving us stranded for 11+ days, while he cooks up a new plan in his command center (parent's basement).
I love these acronyms :-) You probably have to be an OVH customer for some time in order to understand Octave's universe. It's fantastic to be able to interact with the owner of such a company using Twitter. In order to get an answer you have to ask the right question and you also need the right timing, but even I managed to get an answer from him every now and then. Unlike many companies which tell you they're different, OVH really is different. Sometimes that's good for you, sometimes not. No one is forced to do business with them.
That's the issue, he does not tell the things as they are, he tries to put some spin and blame others for their failures.
This offer smells like being done in a heavy drinking night when they said we are the pop-of-the-top and we will take over the world with our 3 Eur/mo dedis.
It was poorly planned and even worse executed, they are blaming resellers (when the initial offer did not specify that is forbidden), the paypal users since they are "suspicious" to be resellers (like that would be a crime), intel for not delivering a few trains of components overnight, paypal for having a slow interface, so on and so forth.
What he says is NOT how the things are. And this is obvious for almost everyone right now.
I reordered a new server with my credit card on saturday (3rd), received my server today.
Which one?
Sorry, forgot to mention that.
The KS 2G.
