Dedicated server on Proxmox with a single IP and 1 failover IP). Containers?
I bought my first dedicated server today, a modest VIA ® Nano ® U2250 machine with 2 GB memory. Having had my three orders from OVH refunded, I just wanted to try something, and this came relatively cheap.
I chose to install Proxmox. The system came with Proxmox 2.3, which I upgraded to the latest 3.0. I'm trying to get it to create OpenVZ containers. I have one failover IPv4 which they provided in addition to the main IP.
I'm wondering how I can setup a OpenVZ container (I suppose I can create only one more since I have just two IPs), and run it with the failover IP? Is that possible? Or do I need to order an additional IP?

I would just try it.. set up a vps and bridge it off the main bridge

I am not sure if online.net has IPv6? If so you might be able to use IPv6 as the IP?

we can make an openvz with ipv6only since they give us routef /64
Did they? My IPv6 menu says "Cette rubrique vous permet de commander gratuitement un bloc /48 IPv6 pour vos serveurs à DC3.", which seems to translate to, "Will be available later"?
The discussion on that thread seems to have been inconclusive as nobody offered a definite solution, but claimed to have done it at some point.

also, have you tried adding extra ipv6?
try it, add some ipv6 in proxmox, and create a container.
but remember , the processor is small, just dont make 100vms

You use an atom CPU for BT mining? Which pool are you using and care to share what's your payoff on average?

previously, i make a vps inside a kvm with the same method and doing port forwarding. thanks to Francisco for the clue
Using iptables and port forwarding works fine.. you can connect with putty if you assign a different port for each CT for ssh access.
