Best cpanel alternatives
What would you recommend as a cpanel alternative paid or free?

There are many but at the same time, none.
p.s: plesk?
List/description of 18 Web control panels: https://www.hostingadvice.com/blog/cpanel-vs-plesk-vs-webpanel/
I personally love DirectAdmin. DirectAdmin being the de facto leader in the Dutch hosting industry and consistent and 'friendly' pricing makes I am not planning on moving away anytime soon. (Hint: cool hosts like BuyVM do free DA licensing even).
Immediate paid one is DirectAdmin.
There is a reason CPanel is doing what they are doing.
Alternatives are out there but all of them are lacking or require more advanced minds.
My best alternative for you in your case is Plesk. IMO it's a good alternative to cPanel
Plesk is under the same company. If many move to Plesk, they will apply the same pricing later.
Plesk shouldn't even be suggested at this point.
sudo apt install apache2
Vesta Control Panel < vestacp.com >

A better fork of VestaCP
HestiaCP
Go for Direct Admin
I'm installing InterWorx, they offer 2 weeks trial. Used them in the past and they were pretty good, let's see if they have improved
I've been using HestiaCP on a few Ubuntu 18.04 VMs for a while and it's a breath of fresh air over Vesta. The UI is much nicer and there are actually updates. They just added mail SSL that properly works. Love it so far.
looks like 1999
ISPConfig

still the same original looks
vestacp with https://vwi.cdgtech.one/
Migrating from cPanel to DirectAdmin: https://forum.directadmin.com/showthread.php?t=58059
+1 for DA panel, used to like Plesk but it’s the same shareholders so anytime now the price structure can rocket the same way cPanel so pointless waste a time to migrate to Plesk
Nice to see DA staff hasn't missed this cPanel event and actively is trying to invite new customers now

Been doing a lot of research on panels and testing, the lowest cost best option i can find would be centoswebpanel pro.
https://www.froxlor.org/ who needs more?
There is no real cpanel alternative. The are "others" but no true alternative. No one at the moment can give you same level of configuration as cpanel or plesk gives you. All other panels here are ok though..
Not a single screenshot. Non-existent documentation.
Was going to install centos panel but found out it has security flaws, i never took much notice of other website panels until cPanel decided to get rid of the poor hosts.
Ispconfig seems like the safest option, will decide in a few hours which it is going to be out of the free panels, so far ISPconfig is the winner.
Free whmcs module here too:

Sentora and zPanel look nice but security flaws like centospanel, maybe these control panels are now secure?
Is this a better option than ISPconfig?
It is another option. I wouldn't say better for either tbh. Both are good options in their own way. I'd probably use HestiaCP more for private sites, ISPConfig for clients. Just my two cents.
