I looked a little on Sunday but with no success. I admit, though, that I wasn't especially motivated.

no hint, not yet available?
This is by far the easiest and most straightforward of the lot
The only thing that stops me from signing up is that no Linux installation allowed
For anyone that are still following this thread, I would like to ask for your help on giving more feedbacks and comments so that we can improve in the future.
For example, is the eggs too easy or hard? Is it too time consuming that you don't think it is worth it? Is it better to show all the deals first? Should the deals be more attracting?
I will accept any honest feedbacks, comments or constructive criticism.
Regards.
I do appreciate all of the effort put into this, and it was probably the best presentation of holiday goodies. However, personally, it went from "This is a neat idea" to "My time is better spent elsewhere" faster than the latest AlphaRacks flash sale.
It's nice that so much time was actually spent and a few puzzles that required thought, but, man, I'll just pay the extra $2.
That said, if I had nothing better to do I would have been all over this.
Yes. Mainly because you only get to know the deal after claiming the eggs, and you only get to claim 3 in total. I found 3 eggs of providers I hoped had a good offer out in a few minutes, but found them rather disappointing (was looking for cheap storage). That's when I quit.
I was able to find 10 or 11 eggs but Unfortunately, I can't find the one that I really need
the hunt was fun and great thank you @FAT32
Pretty much what @Letzien said.
It was a really cool idea and very well executed from what I saw. It's just my personal circumstances that really prevented me from getting too involved. I'm typically running between family members houses for the entirety of holiday weekends, so finding eggs on mobile just simply wasn't possible.
Also seems not too many providers posted offers in the Easter deals thread, which is the medium I much prefer. Perhaps because many submitted offers for the secret egg hunt. But I'd much prefer checking a deals thread a few times a day to try and grab limited flash sales than needing to spend hours searching for something I may or may not want in the end.
Anyways, you did a pretty awesome job @FAT32 and this was a really good way to drive up involvement on LET. Would be interesting to see the website metrics for this month.
i found many eggs on this game but i think i claimed too fast ;-)
each time i found an egg i thought it can't get better .... now i have one egg/server idleing hard
on the one hand to make this game better - a list of claimable deals would be wonderful. but on the other hand this game would not be that surprising then.
I did like finding the eggs and I found quite a few but following on what the others have said, it took quite some time, maybe not for some but when you spend lots of time to find a deal and its a deal you're not really into (but very much appreciated) it's a little demotivating.
Regardles, I only wish that there were a few more deals on the main thread like Mason touched on but the execution was really well done!
The amount of time necessary to find codes exceeds the value of most egged deals.
Also this is LET, non-recurring discounts/deals are an anathema.
This was the worst Easter on LET in years.
I think spending an hour to find an egg that saved me $250 on a SYS dedi was worth it.
spent an hour, only found already claimed eggs... Would have loved a dedi.

@FAT32
I don't care if it's hard, I just want to find that SYS dedicated server
No clue what a movie means though...
I've spent hours looking for the SYS deal no luck yet, I found the OVH 99% first month for DO-32-APAC @ Sydney
Up front this was only my second ever CTF-type event. I had trouble getting started in part because I didn't know exactly what the boundaries were. I think that might be a Good Thing (tm) to possibly note ( not necessarily give away ) "three or four of the eggs are on participant pages" or something. After several hours I started getting the hang of it and enjoyed it. I agree with what several others said that it was very well executed. Knowing what eggs were in advance probably would've helped mainly because several of the first eggs I did manage to find were of no particular use to me. Also, since I could only claim three eggs ( which I think is a valid limit ) I wound up taking notes on which flags I'd found, what they were, and waiting to see what else was out there. That was something you said asking why people weren't claiming them. Well I personally was waiting to get enough of a list to see what I wanted to claim. As for people saying it was too much time I admit I had the advantage of having nothing to do this weekend. I think extending it out for a day or two was a good thing too so people that were busy ( or in my case, too inept ) could participate if possibly not getting the premiere eggs. If it happens again next year I'll look forward to it.
FINALY I get it the SYS deal
@FAT32 - I have really enjoyed playing the game and a lot of fun for me was in discovering the coupons/flags. Many of them were quite challenging to find and I thoroughly liked the hunt. Even though I have exhausted my claims, I kept spending time on the others and it was really engaging for me.
As it is I end up spending a fair bit of time on LET (
I'm not an addict and I sure don't need therapy but hey I'll be happy to invest the therapy funds towards yet another idling VPS - surely that is the best use of the money.) but the egg hunt really made me spend more time than I had planned or wanted to (but I still enjoyed it!) and I couldn't resist (my fault of course).Thank you for the investment of your time and the interesting and creative problems you put together to tickle us all (and give many of us long sleepless stretches in the quest of the one-coupon-to-rule-them-all).
Thanks to the providers also for participating and giving away some really wonderful deals.
I'm not an addict - oh wait - I already said that.
Damn, not any closer than I was earlier today :c
FWIW, you helped me realize that that string actually pointed to a movie. I was banging my head trying to remember, since that string was really familiar!
@FAT32 merely thanking posts and not providing additional hints is really annoying on many levels!
Your efforts at the hunt was a hit and well accepted by the community. I would say it was useful.
I was early in the hunt, followed from when you announced and was one of the early to register but till now I don't even have the faintest idea where to look. You said your earlier posts, mainly providers etc but I really didn't get the hints through.
After about an hour trying to figure out, I went to Netcup. Maybe because theirs was visual, it didn't take a long time to catch on with their Easter egg hunt. I got a 4 core, 4GB, 240GB root server. I followed most of their deals for about 2.5 hours, it was straightforward.
I checked back here today to see what ended the hunt or whether there are some plain deals but seems I still won't be spending as there isn't anything to buy.
This is a good idea, but it can surely gain more impact with some tweak. And it is nice of you to ask for feedback.
I do like stuff like the egg hunt very much as it is entertaining. as with other games they should be solvable below a certain level of frustation though ;-)
my suggestions:
well done anyway, thanks for your work and to the providers involved for the offers!
looking forward to the next thing like that ;-)
I found this really painful, because I would have "found" the correct page but the egg was not there yet. Then a few hours later the egg would be there, but since I already clicked it and it was marked yellow / unbolded in vanilla I did not think to visit it again...

@FAT32
Now that I've solidly given up:
Good work on the Easter hunt -- it's something that we haven't had here before and really did make me sit on LET for a good few hours. The astonishing amount of effort you put in with virtually no reward in sight deserves nothing less than the appreciation of the community, so thank you for that.
I look forward to any future events you host!
