haha, already fighting against the urge... the 30€ coupon is still available, but because it's monthly setup+1month is not enough to qualify for that.

edit: maybe I should take two then? ...

Seems like you're going to loose crypto mining feature.

haha, yeah, to be honest I haven't looked at what the BF VPS is doing for quite some time... maybe I should put that to a real use first, rofl.

Well, the 30EUR coupon is to big, to be applied on 10EUR setup fees.

Yikes, that's almost a dedicated server specs, especially with the 600GB SAS disk!

Should the €30 coupon be fully consumed? Can't we use it for the first month and setup fee (€13.99 + €9.99) and just forget about the €6 change?

Also: I'm digging netcup's transparency on why they are having this offer (via Google Translate):
With this unbeatable tariff, we're filling gaps on systems that still have plenty of space left over from memory and disk space. For that reason the quantity is unfortunately limited.

    20EUR seems to work.

This is tempting - is this a "root server" as apposed to their "vpses"?

Yes. Only root servers have dedicated cores at netcup. Plus the R in "R2000" stands for Root afaik

I think the following deal much better, as more storage and vcores:

    Processor: 8 vCores

    Random access memory: 16 GB

HDD composite: 160 GB SSD (RAID10)

Traffic unthrottled: 80 TB / month

    15, 99 €

Though it has less SLA than root and no dedicated cores. Boils down to each individual's preference I guess^^

I am confused, I used the 30EUR coupon, purchased that KVM + 3x .de domains, and they charged me 2.02EUR for the first month?

eh I thought the coupon only applies to setup fees... apparently it does apply to everything.

What coupon are you talking about?

The 30EUR coupon, when you switch.

    https://www.netcup.de/bestellen/gutschein_einloesen.php?gutschein=go2netcup

    Then I got myself:

    https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2208

To let the coupon apply, I got 3x .de domains:

    https://www.netcup.de/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2205

They asked for an invoice, I send them my Kimsufi invoice, afterwards I got a invoice for around 2EUR.

Instead of paying actually 9.99EUR Setup + 13.99EUR and + 3x .de domains for nearly free.
