No it shows in the pro box blackfir
On the 1st page in prmo box it says "BLACKFRIDAY 30%"

I see the promo box. Next to each available server, I see the discounted price as well as original price in the line description of server specs, and there is link to shopping cart to purchase that server. When I click on shopping cart, I see a page "Your order summary".. this page doesnt show any discount

I am interested in their Soyoustart dedi. Anyone knows if their offer is recurring or not?

I am not interested anymore. All of their offer will be "renewal will be charged at the price displayed on the renewal date".

Sys and Kim does not say for x month like the others it just say a month last year sys waved the setup fee that they no longer have.

    I wish that, but:

    SO YOU START DEDICATED SERVERS
A promotional offer that gives you 30% off server rental for a So you Start dedicated server. Offer valid for any new orders (excluding renewals) placed between 24th November 2017, 00:00 and 24th November 2017, 23:59 (Paris time), depending on the eligibility and availability of the server chosen, with the time that the order is processed by So you Start considered as proof in the event of a dispute. Offer limited to 1 per NIC handle (customer account). Dedicated server renewal will be charged at the price displayed on the renewal date, on the website www.soyoustart.com/en. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other current promotional offers. To subscribe, you must agree to So you Start terms and conditions. Offer valid while stocks last.

But then the prices in th website was changed to the prices with 30% off

    E.g.
    Price/month(1)
    18.89 ex. VAT
    (or £22.67 incl. VAT)
    rather than
    £26.99 ex. VAT
    (or £32.39 incl. VAT)

Very confusing same as kimsulf and the ks deal was not on setup just server but not helpful and that makes the 2nd deal worse the flash sales

  • As big as OVH is you would think they would get a better ordering system

  • Is transfering a domain still 1.20 EUR? I am currently seeing the full price of .com domains even after logging in and adding one to the cart.

  • so for SYS .. if i purchase a 1 month lease. will the price be the same now or 30% more at renewal? thanks

  • What happened to that OVH US BF link? I can see BF is active on .ie now and they are indeed doing the 50% off vps-ssd again, sweet deal. Don't need it but can't resist. As mentioned in other thread, gap between old and new can be covered by renewing old for 1 month.

Note about their BF offers - The discount is only valid for one server per order (maybe account?)

Well, i ordered one at ".com" website and one at ".pt" website (same product) without problems at all.

sorry, was referring to the dedicated servers, I didn't look at the other ones.

Appears none of the dedicated server discounts are recurring. I checked the renew page for one on a monthly cycle and it was the normal price. Just keep in mind if you plan to get one.

If I did not get the information wrong, Kimsufi dedicated server discount is only for the first time payment, is it?

Correct. You get 30% off in the first month only. You need to pay the normal price starting from the second month.

  • Seem you can only purchase 1 VPS at 50% off cant get another one

  • o_O Looks like OVH hides only email, phone and home address.
    OVH in their style...

The "need"? You can't edit two DNS entries once a year?

  • Sure. Why use a stable IP for services when you can have fun going through the hassle of editing stuff everywhere at various registrars once a year ?

I'm sure you're the kind of person to still use floppy disks. Because the convenience of cd-roms or external hdds is "unneeded", which is true.

Well, why do you have your DNS scattered all over the place at "various registrars"? :)
I just run my own nameserver and editing a DNS record equals to editing one text file and running a script to push the update.
The only halfway bothersome thing is if the IP change in question is for the nameserver itself. But nobody forces you to run a nameserver on such a "non-permanent IP" service. As well as nobody says this one should be your only VPS to be used for everything imaginable.

    Thanked by 1WSS
  • @rm_ oh god you edit text files? I just load up Node and...
