Mailcheap Raising Prices
Just got this email. Like their service a lot, but a 2.5x increase for me means I'll be going back to MXRoute.

I can't say that I've been unhappy with Pavins' service, but 2.5x existing cost would likely price him out for my shitty entry-level account as well.
Edit: Looks line a 15% hike, not a 250% hike. No problem at all with that.
I pay $4/m for premium10, which is now $10/m.
Edit: For clarity I pay $48/yr, but I believe the normal price was $5/m.
What a shame. I was considering using them for a project too.
Guess it is good I switched to G Suite just yesterday instead of mailcheap, from MXRoute though. I still think Jarland is a nice guy, but I had my reasons to swap out.
Edit: I was already paying for G Suite to abuse the unlimited storage, so it costs me nothing "extra"
Just in time to nudge me towards renewing my mxroute black Friday special.

I love and recomend your service to everyone (you and ramnode, if the person is going to be ok with having someone ask them for a scan/pic of their id that is, otherwise ill say ramnode). Heck, as a guy I think you done excellent with how you treat business.
But one thing weirds me out, and I think it's kind of dumb(you) but there could be an explanation:
Why do you sign your posts with your name when it's already your username?
Everytime I read "Francisco" at the end of your post my expression is always the same:
I understand adding your name to papers or emails can look good, but on a forum where your username is your name? it looks stupid

You may be overreacting, but I agree that it's redundant. It's probably just out of habit (replying to tickets?). On Vanilla, I don't think that it can be part of his signature (and therefore inserted automatically).
@duckeeyuck asking the real questions, huh?
I used to sign my posts with M, but people talked me out of it.
I would think for a system admin, a tendency toward redundancy is a good thing
Leave @Francisco alone, that's his style, let the man be and roll how he wants to roll ;-)

I used to use old 'net handles that weren't my real name so I would sign it for formality. Over time I stopped using those but i'm so used to signing my posts that I do it anyway :P
I guess it's one of my odd quirks.

Guess I have to move my email service. I liked mailcheap, but this would be a 500% price increase for me.
Don't count Pavin out. Look at how hard he's working to provide a wealth of features, and still for a price that's a fraction of what is common in the industry with per-user costs.
from 10/year to 48/year is a hike for an idle service.
It's incredible how much Anal Intelligence is changing our daily lives.
Spoken like a true Ayrian.
MailNotAsCheapAsBefore?
I find Anal Incest disgusting.
Or: MailLessCheap
This (like your suggestion as well) would apply recursively in the sense that after every price hike it would still apply.
You know it's rarely genuine siblings in those videos, right?
Of course. However, if you find genuine incest disgusting, and like to watch incest roleplay porn, this can mean two things:
1) Actors in your video are terrible at acting and it's too obvious that they are not even remotely related, hence making the result more palatable
2) You are a liar and you secretly dream of banging your sister (cheers @cociu)
You are aware of your conversation being had with Nekki.
Seems perfectly ok to me.

Good advice.
Wasn't there a post by the owner that basically said he was swamped and didn't want new customers even? This feels like a calculated move to retain the same revenue but with less customers. I don't like it though as i believe in grandfathered rates.
No. That was jarland. He's MXRoute. I agree with grandfatehred prices when they're sustainable. However, if a $10 service is now magically $45, he's going to lose many, many clients. I like Pavin, but I will not attempt to justify his service costing 75% of Google and Outlook.com. Although I have no complaints about the service- it becomes a simpler task of "Which one is guaranteed to be there in another 5 years."
He doesn't want to bang his sister, he wants to bang YOUR sister.
This thread got way off topic from a mail service price increase.
Huge price increase for premium really bums me out, $60 a year was fine for handling a few accounts but not putting out $120 for it.
