one time set-up fee and yes extra hardware cost every month
https://www.hetzner.com/flexipack/?country=ot
However, I got my server delivered with 2x 500 GB SSDs and 1x 6 TB SATA ...
Read / Write Speed for 512 GB SSDs:
Read / Write Speed for 6 TB SATA:
I got Windows Server 2016 Standard installed and everything is running smoothly. I also have nothing to complain about the network.
Thanks.
@wa44io4 how much are you paying?
Possibly it's €117.92 EUR /Monthly and 0 Setup fees.
(FelixPack + Addons + Windows License Included)
Good deal...
Sequential Write (T= 1) : 197.573 MB/s
Really nice Reads and Writes for a SATA's HDD ;-)
yea, I am happy ... however the disk itself costs € 25.00 and including FlexiPack it's € 37.61 for just this SATA disk.
Quality has a price I guess.
Edit: That HDD would be $56 CAD /month extra for me. That is the price of whole server at SoyouStart :P
Sure, it's on DC12 Falkenstein
I'm still waiting for my server
That's a good share.
Is it possible to make a self OS installation on these servers?
DDoS protection is included for free. https://www.hetzner.com/unternehmen/ddos-schutz/
oh hetzner is here
what about to remove the setup fees on your SX line also? like a special in an special, cause the regular special sells so good. SX without setup fees was quite often requested
You sound like a man trying to murder my wallet.
Do they still require scans of your ID?
Yes, Hetzner Online is here, for now at least. We are experimenting with checking LET to see what all you LETters are gossiping about
As of now, there are unfortunately no plans for a SX sale without setup fees. But I'll pass your wishes on to my colleagues.
If you are not currently a customer and you want to make an order, yes, we still ask for ID to confirm that it is not a fake order and to try to prevent orders from scammers and/or spammers. As soon as the ordering process is complete, your ID scan is then deleted. We understand that it is a bit of a hassle, but it really does help prevent abuse. Once you are a customer, you can then make new orders without going through the ID process. It just takes a few clicks. --Katie, Marketing
I don't have any problems with verification because I know it's good for both customer and you. I was also got verified few hours ago. I have a question: I have received the Order confirmation but didn't got any invoice to pay and the server has not been delivered yet. Do I have to pre-pay or not?
I got brand new hdds!
The cpu for ex41s is i7 7700 though, not 6700. lucky?
should i buy more? should I wait for kimsifi special? This is confusing (@,@)
of course. that's not any auctioned box. and what kimsufi crap should match this? 100Mbps? no, thanks.
Hi windytime90, We expected a lot of extra orders because of this sale, but there were more new orders than what we estimated! For that reason, there is a bit of a delay. It may take 1-2 days for our hardware assembly team to catch up. You will obviously only be invoiced for the time after the server is deployed. You will get a notification and a separate message with the invoice closely after it is deployed. --Katie
@Hetzner_OL I sure hope your hardware assembly team takes care to include 2 HDDs from different manufacturing batches.(HDD 'infant mortality syndrome', you know)
I'm getting itchy buyer finger. (I'm trying to talk myself out)
FYI, I would not rush for ryzen-based server before "ryzen & linux problem" is fixed...
Got myself an EX41S-SSD, which was delivered after a day and came with the free upgrade to an i7-7700. Mine also has brand new Samsung PM871a SSDs.
I'm glad that the server has an Intel NIC, because that makes installing VMware ESXi way easier and I also managed to get the passthrough of the Intel HD graphics working. Here are the results from K4y5's benchmark script:
Does the EX41 SSD always get the i7-7700 upgrade?
I ordered 20 servers with them and 19 of them come with i7-7700.
Our hardware team is using what is in stock at the time that they do the server builds. So sometimes the server will be deployed with an i7-6700 and sometimes with an i7-7700. Since there are fewer i7-6700s availble for us to purchase, we will likely be using more i7-7700s in the future. If you'd prefer to have a i7-7700, you can mention this at the end of the order. --Katie, Marketing
@Hetzner_OL
Can I change my existing 6700 to 7700 server?
Oh man, actually they are not much different.
Whether VAT is charged for non-EU clients on Hetzner?
