Recommendations for idle servers.

I have 2 servers lying around,
One 20 GB RAM/200 GB space/5 TB bandwidth, and one with 2 GB RAM/30 GB space/1 TB bandwidth.
Looking to host some kind of a service (free, preferably) that doesn't require maintenance. Any suggestions?

OpenVPN, Reverse Proxy, TS3 server, irc

Nothing so basic.
Yes
Join the NTP pool: http://www.pool.ntp.org/
Takes a few minutes to setup NTPD with some decent servers to slave from and you're giving back to the Internet community.
electrum server
Why?
coz you have an idle server
This seems nice.
Idle, but not waste of space.
Depending on longevity why not consider installing something like centos web panel and allowing people some free space for learning? Only other thing i could think of was already mentioned with the NTP pool
why not cancel?
Anything wrong with philanthropy?
Most people would suspect me for doing shady activities, stealing data and such.
And I'm not sure if my host would appreciate it either.
this is true, i have done this my self but for a few friends when iv had a spare server. i cant think of anything else, maybe game server for people or something ?
give $15 a month to a good charity instead
Philanthropy and charity are 2 different things.

let me know when you find a serious philanthropic use for your idling server.
(i.e. something with a measurable impact.)
I'll trade you a few medium grade for the VN.. that'd help me to consolidate.
I haven't followed Cyanogen since around 11, but seeing the poor direction of the company coming to this, well, still sucks. I'll see if they can use any of my KVMs for misc tasks- but being that the target device is beefier than the majority of my VPS, I doubt they'll want them.
syncthing (bitsync alternative) discovery node?
Erm, and also adding one more server to the NTP reflection/amplification attack pool. I'm sure the host will appreciate ;-)
Could have been worse... Can't wait for "install an open DNS resolver to help and get rid of the dreaded 8.8.8.8 \o/"
I almost suggested open SMTP relay, but I have a feeling my accounts would all be terminated immediately for that awful joke.
Support the Bitcoin network by running a Bitcoin full node, https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node
What do you mean, what's the point of a closed relay?
