Lol
I feel dumb:

Edit: Finally!
I don't know who told you that, but that's NOT what she said!
Ask your LET friends?
Thanks
I was looking around for some hosting for a couple domains I picked up during the BF/CM promos.

Yep. No big storage ones in these.
I'm lost.Nevermind.New Hosting Account Created
You make my day! Thanks!
Promo code didn't seem to do anything but I bought anyway
. Very quick provisioning.
Same :P
@masterqqq
We can do 2x 1TB drives instead of 1x 2TB if you'd like.
Ditto. Suppose I can fit something in 64MB since I've beat on the 128MB IH host, and I've grow bored of abusing /proc and gnu coreutils for fun.
64MB ought to be enough for anyone
. The 1GB disk is a little more of a challenge in this bloated era.
Are you saying I look fat in this dress?
That was a nice stress test for the new cluster
The overhead of provisioning has to be at least 2x services rendered.
Back when the racks were pretty weakly stocked at the DC I used to work at in the late 90s, I built and racked some 64MB 486s to use as nameservers/shells. Worked perfectly fine, and still do- provided the shells are locked down and /home is noexec.
Best story I have from there that I can relate (even though NDA is way long past) is probably the Mitsubishi middle manager who bitched me out because I refused to advertise his office's private /24 (faxed him RFC1918 in response to lawsuit threats).
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys! I'm relatively new here but I learned a lot by burning money and making mistakes. It's a fun place too. Appreciate all of you
If someone really wants it for Xmas then message me and ask nicely guys from Vortex to let me transfer it into your account. $15 before I found real usage for this beast other than hardcore idling.
Anyon if you interest with KVM 2GB RAM 80GB SSD Cache Based on Proxmox in Indonesia location for $15 please contact me
/etc/apt-sources points to debian stable (i.e. jessie) so typing "apt-get upgrade" from a debian 7 install pulled in all the debian 8 stuff and broke ssh (known issue fixed by installing systemd shim instead of sysv init). Switching to systemd increased idle memory footprint from 5MB to 9MB, I guess I'll live. It probably would be preferable to explicitly say wheezy in the template. If I reinstall I'll probably do that and stay with wheezy. Or might run jessie with sysv-init if I can figure out how.
Free disk space after installing a few basic utils including python (needed for my new-vps ansible playbook) is 338MB out of 892M. Feels like the old days. I actually do things on these LES that need a bit more disk than that, so I might at some point ask David about the possibility of buying an upgrade to the 128MB version. Though I don't know what I'd do with all that ram
.
I do have the idea that @AnthonySmith's minimal debian templates for LES are smaller than this, but I don't feel up to trying a detailed comparison right now.
Ditto. Unbroke Jessie, but annoyed by systemd and the fact I don't have enough space to compile mini-httpd. May just live with micro for now and take the inetd penalty hit.
E: This is a bit hacky, but it works for now (static page every minute, ugly overhead doesn't take cache into account for numbers, because lazy)..

have any smaller vps $2-3 will buy immediately, IIX traffic port = ?
That be great I just need a looking glass or test ip to test it out
Scaleway
nvm, I just saw your next message
Any chance of enabling fuse on the host node? It would be handy to sshfs-mount more space from this tiny vps.
