Are you doing one tutorial? Or one for each OS?
The tutorials I am building on my site will be specific to each OS, however, they will be nearly identical beyond the key sections where things change for each specific OS (Download/Install command, credentials, etc.)
Windows 10 Entp LTSB would be nice
Do Joodle's templates not work on the Online.net servers?
Not work for XC 2016 nor SC 2016
Shouldn't be an issue, I will add it to the list.
They do not, his templates lack the necessary drivers to boot on the Online.net Personal Range (SC/XC 2016) servers.
To that end, I don't believe his mirror is still online. The links I purchased previously are no longer working and is one of the reasons I decided to build my own...not to mention I needed them working on Online.net.
Hi Everyone,
Over the last couple of days I have rebuilt each of the templates using a higher level of gzip compression in order to reduce the size of each template as much as possible. The download of the template should be quicker, however the actually laying down of the template to your server's drive may take slightly longer due to the higher compression.
I have also completed a template for Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB VL x64 as requested here on the forums.

The following templates are in queue to be made and should be ready within the next week.

Are there any other versions you all would like to see have made?

Kimsufi - If you have a spare Kimsufi server and would be willing to work with me to ensure each of the templates are fully compatible please reach out to me - it would be greatly appreciated!
Can you make windows server 2012 trial 180 days ?
2012 R2 trial shouldnt be an issue, but original 2012 is unlikely.
Does that image work on a "VPS VC1 M"? Did anyone try?
To date I haven't had a chance to test against Scaleway services, it time I plan to do so.
Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Evaluation x64 template has now been created.
Mirror: http://onlinenet-dc2.mirror.whatuptime.com/Microsoft_Windows_Server_2016_Standard_Evaluation_x64.gz
The guide will be written up and added to www.whatuptime.com this week.
In regards to Windows 7 & 2008 R2, unfortunately it does not appear templates for those will be possible at the moment. I have been struggling with the Intel NIC drivers and to date have been unsuccessful. As there isn't a proper KVM (hence the templates in the 1st place) troubleshooting is very time consuming and difficult to say the least.
The following templates are planned:
-Microsoft Windows Server 2016 (Standard & Datacenter) VL x64
-Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation x64
-Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation x86 (This is a maybe!)
Depending on the demand I may consider Windows 8.1, but I have doubts anyone would really want it since Windows 10 is basically the same but better - anyone really want it?

Special Note: The plan is to rebuild the Evaluation templates everyone ~60 days due to the timer.

Any feedback?

you still not given scaleway a try?
Feel free to send me $20 and I will give it a try this week.
Alternatively if you already have a server with them you are willing to give me access to I happy to do some initial testing with it.
on a side note...
has anyone tried to SnapShot XC/SC 2016 server and store/restore from their Free 100GB FTP ?
What's the credentials?
The current credentials is not working.
Thx
Okay, please fix the page:
The credentials are:
User: Administrator
Password: P@ssword64
You mean the exact credentials that were in the OP since day 0?
No, means this is the credentials for Windows Server 2016.
User: Administrator
Password: P@ssword64
Thanks for catching that, I have corrected the tutorials.
He was speaking in regards to the guides on my website, I had accidentally included the wrong credentials for the Windows Server guides...bad copy & paste.
$20 for what lol?
u dont pay for whole month.. just for how long its used.
Honestly, attitudes like yours are exactly why free services and opensource projects are dying. You expect me to not only spend my time to expand compatibility to include Scaleway, but also my hard earned money so that YOU can benefit.
Where is the motivation?
If you were to say, "Hey, I can send over $10 to cover the cost of the servers if you wouldn't mind attempting to make your templates compatible with Scaleway services." I would be inclined to do so, but just asking or demanding I do so isn't going to make it happen...hell, it may even make me intentionally avoid it.
@everyone, it has been brought to my attention there is compatibility issues with the Kimsufi servers with I3 & I5 CPU's, specifically with the 82579v Intel NIC.
Apparently there isn't proper driver support from Intel for Server 2012 R2, Server 2016 or Windows 10...so I am working on building a possible solution to allow for those servers to be supported.
you aint doing it for yourself are you? you are doing it for the community so why should you even care? $3 isnt gonna break the bank is it?
Lord, you really are out of touch aren't you.
As in my very first post in this thread the original templates were made for my own use, but I released them so everyone may benefit. I have continued to increase the available templates and increase compatibility as a way to give back to the community whom has allowed me to be employed for over a decade.
That said, it doesn't mean I am going to drop everything and beginning working on compatibility for Scaleway when the person requesting it isn't willing to do anything more than make light of the work I am doing and the money I am spending.
Quite a few people have reached out to me directly to provide logs, request and various feedback. Those are the foot steps you will want to follow if you really want compatibility to include Scaleway services. I am not inclined to work on Scaleway when the person requesting it isn't willing to do jack shit to support it.
Is there something specific you want from Scaleway provided to you?
I guess 3USD isn't going to break your bank as well?
Scaleway bills hourly, not monthly.
Indeed, still doesn't mean I an going to drop cash every time someone has another provider they would like to see supported.
I believe I am going to treat it a bit like other projects do, if you have additional hardware you would like to see supported you can "sponsor" it...even in the case of scaleway it would literally be a few dollars to cover the cost of the server(s) for a few days.
To put it in perspective, I have created over 50 windows templates for Kimsufi over the last couple of days while I troubleshoot issues due to the motherboard NIC's being completely unsupported by Windows Server versions.
Scaleway would likely be even worse due to their special setup and kernels.
