looking for Cpanel VPS (US/UK)
Hey guys , i'm on the lookout for a Cpanel VPS for an immediate migration of one of my projects. I would be needing a node with the following specs :
Vitualisation : Ovz
OS : Linux
Ram : 2Gb (Dedicated)
HDD : 15-20GB (SSD Preferably)
Traffic : 2TB
IPv4 :1
Location can be either US/UK. Pricing up-to $20. good uptime is a must , let me know if you would recommend anyone.
Thanks

Debian cPanel, that's new.

+1.
Bit tricky to put-up , still possible and runs good.
If you want cPanel included for $20 then the only place I can think of is Rocketvps.com, they always have discounts on that should fit into your budget.
They only offer cPanel with Centos.

Why Debian? cPanel obviously doesn't support it.
Why does it need to be a VPS? Why not buy from a reputable CPanel Shared/Reseller Provider?
Do you need the license included or?
Debian fan here , it;s pretty solid.
good for a start : http://kpower.me/2010/10/installing-cpanel-on-debian-servers/
Yes
high resource usage won't work with Shared/Reseller.
I'm also a Debian fan. Its just smarter go with an OS the software actually supports out of the box (imho easier for security and everything else too).
If you want to use Debian though I'm not stopping you, just saying its weird.
@HalfEatenPie I think i should take that advice , may be its not worth all that trouble at all esp considering the recent security issues with Cpanel , wouldn't want to take a risk. I'd better go with CentOs
Have you considered Plesk for EUR1.50 instead of cPanel? It would make your search much easier.

We can probably do this for $30 total. $20 is a bit low.
Hostigation can do 1024mb guaranteed, 100gb (not SSD), and 1TB in Charlotte, NC for $10 and the cPanel is $10/mo. Best cPanel price out there, everyone else is in the $12-15/mo range. Is SSD really necessary?
Yeah I've been a client for quite some time and Hostigation should be synonymous with "cPanel VPS"
All new nodes are SSD cached, but none in Charlotte yet, new cabinet in Jan and parts arrive next week for a Charlotte node, with the new Samsung 840's
the E5 node in Charlotte out preforms most SSD's with it's 16 drive array
@bamn - Rocketvps do The cheapest cPanel licences that I have seen, $8.50 base price but they are always running discounts and the discount also applies to the panel, my cpanel with them is billed at $4.25 per month.
RocketVps looks good , coming from a reputed company like knownhost it should work good.
@W1V_Lee hows your exp with Rocketvps , how are the uptimes like

Do you find the idea of having to tweak a bazillion things just to get cPanel that amusing?
I mean, if this is for a client, you want it to be as dumbed down as possible. Going with Debian seems like a move that will end up said client calling you at 4am in the morning to ask why his rrdtool graphs don't work.
Or why the adminbin doesn't work (Hi 'wheel' group), etc.
He stated he's going to stay on CentOS.
Yep
+1 for RocketVPS. My uptime with them is 100% for last 8 months
@gameon - You can't go wrong with rocketvps to be honest, server performance is always great, support is super fast on the odd occassion you need them and they runa very tight ship overall.
