I thought Vultr credit was free?
Your not allowed to sell vultr credit, I already asked and they basically said it's not allowed.
When you get Credit from Vultr for free, dosen't mean everyone gets it.
I am going to give away the entire account.
Only $5 of the $155 was free.
40
"Give away" in the sense that Vultr is aware of the transfer and the new owner is properly registered, etc. is legit.
"Give away" in the sense that you're just going to PM someone your Vultr username and password so they can login and use your account is not.
Which is it?
Let me guess: You got that credit when they had their special where they doubled credit and now you want to make a profit?
Just use it on their dedi instances, they're pretty awesome.
Rivalries shilling for each other!?!?
THIS IS INTERESTING.
No mate. $155 worth of credit was purchased for $150
I don't think I have a legit way then. The credit is not of much use to me and I am not even very fond of vultr. I was thinking of buying some age old Dual Xeon dedi and colo'ing it to learn some new stuff. This credit would come in handy, so I thought of selling it off.
I bid $50, conditional on the fact that Vultr approves of this.
Thanks for the suggestion mate, but I really want to try my hands at colocating own hardware.
Have you asked @DaveA ? (Vultr rep, or open a ticket with Vultr to ask)
Thanks, I am going to open a support ticket.
But the offer is still open for anyone who wants to use the VPSs off my vultr account for a price. lol
That was DigitalOcean. Vultr credit is useless, not free.
I will give you $100 for it if vultr will transfer it.
You're also taking consequences of someone's potentially illegal actions of anyone who uses your account ?
@gurugrv , check with vultr and take AnthonySmith money .... yes would be nice for a change ;D
I would prefer DO than Vultr. What is the advantage of Vultr?
Fewer IOPS wasted on redundancy.
Startup scripts, custom ISOs, more locations, and storage instances are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. And maybe what @raindog308 said.
@raindog308 was being sarcastic about @DaveA's famous refusal here to deny he was running RAID0.
I know
Willing to sell for $100 if Vultr allows it.
And will they?
No idea about that mate.
