  • nice again!

  • Hello everyone, I am very sorry for the late reply but I was traveling and had quite the backlog of emails and other tasks to handle. As some of you probably know already the service was hit by a DDoS attack and the IP rightfully null-routed by our provider @Prometeus. Unfortunately at the time I was mid-air on a plane and had no way to react sooner. I've moved the server to a light-protected IP last night and reenabled email alerts earlier today. I apologize for any inconvenience the false notifications and hanging tasks may have caused you.

He said a while back that they would be setting up an HA system so them moving and some down time was expected

I wish it was but I do not expect the move happen before the middle of October. Of course we will inform everyone in advance of the maintenance window and expected downtime.

worked for me a few hours ago, however you need to manually log in and kill all the hanging nodequery tasks as those are chewing away your disk I/O for some reason (I did get a warning from Linode on my disk I/O for one of my VPS with them even though I have never got one before).

Are you running a newer version of the monitoring script > 0.7.5? If so this should definitely not be happening. Otherwise I strongly recommend to update.

Just me or are your servers getting slow? Sometimes it takes a while until the next server is loaded and shows the graphs etc.

We are planning to move everything to a new infrastructure with faster IO, until then our system may not always be able to process all requests in a reasonable amount of time - especially when you didn't check on your servers for a while. For now I've increased the database buffer and hope it will improve things a little.

What is the proper way to update the agent? Should I just do a reinstall to make sure they are updated?

If you open the server view and scroll to bottom, there's a blue button titled 'New Version Available'.

Ah, I see, it would be nice to have it automated but I guess this is not bad either. (And probably more secure).

  • Is it only me or they are under attack again ?

The memory usage of my server whooped and their website is timeout-ing.

Of course this is happening right when I wanted to update the agent lol

It is not just you, I have to disable my cron email again so that I won't be flooded with emails complaining.

  • It's back up, for now at least. Is there anyway to reset server uptime statistics, or will reinstalling it through the website (ie new access token) accomplish this?

    Cheers

    I second this question.

  • Signed up a few days ago, but received no activation mail yet. How long did it take until you got your account activated?

Wut, While doing some Benchmarks with DD... i had a Load of 2.00 and i shows in the Panel that the CPU would be loaded at 100% but its 0% basically just the HDD which is under heavy load.

    Double post gah.

  • Trying to install it on my server and get an error, | NodeQuery Installer
    | ===================
    |
wget: /dev/stdout: No such file or directory
    | Downloading nq-agent.sh to /etc/nodequery

  • I tried in on my centos 7 kvm and the ram usage is 90% and keep notifying me there is high load but it is actually cached memory and i am only using 200+ mb ram according to free -m.

  • @forumsuk 1 year old thread. Grat for resurrecting it.

  • Works great here on my Xen VPS, thanks Joe. Site design is amazing!

hope in “ LET user ” future Also free of charge it enjoy

    NECRO GG

  • Indeed, I'd forgotten Nodequery was 2 years old already. I believe I found out about it here, and still use it to this day (from time to time) though I'm slightly surprised it is
    a) still existing,
    b) hasn't been further developed
    and
    c) hasn't (thankfully) started charging for it yet.

  • I use it on a daily basis.

I use this on daily basis: https://github.com/Ne00n/Ariane-Monitoring

    Still in progress but Selfhosted.

  • There isnt any screenshots, demo or feature list... So useless...

You could add as lot as you wish.

But the Database gets bigger and bigger as more as you add, I would not used it on a 5$/y shared hosting but your choice.

Currently 1x Server results in 1.4k new entries per day, if you keep that for like 30 Days and add another 5 Servers you get sure about 100k+

  • I use it to monitor my servers. My only complaint is it doesnt really show when the server went down. The uptime is shown as, say 98% but when was it when it was down for 2%?

  • OP has been last active September 2014 :/
