CentOS or Ubuntu
What are you talking about? FFMPEG is free.
@noaman just gave you a good option. Simple enough.
I want installing tutorial , not price
@Lee :-)
I cannot remember the script i used to install it..It was amazing...one ssh command ...and bam!...F fmpeg ready....although took 10-15mins...
the easy way would be to install libav-tools via package-manager on ubuntu and use avconv instead.
if you feel the 'real' ffmpeg is needed instead - learn how to install from sources ;-)
( no fuel-adding to any fire intended )

Check remi repo.
@junaid
....
We are not greedy ..you didnot need to say free ....:-(
I did not mean that brother, I meant hot to install it free..not to get that tutorial for free..
@junaid .. FFMPEG is free. why to pay just for a tutorial?.
Why can't you do a simple google search for it, it's not hard
ffmpeg has many packages and a large documentation database: https://ffmpeg.org/download.html
I tried search in google..I found some tutorials, but not working. those are outdated..
What method did you try to install ffmpeg and in what environment? Give us some excact details, so, we can give you detailed instructions here.
For example, if you use debian/ubuntu, install add-repository option (
apt-get install python-software-properties
) and then (as I told you in a previous post) run these commands:Follow the prompts and the installation will be auto completed in 2 minutes. (I just tested in an ubuntu 14 environment and it is working like a charm)
For Centos 6, this tutorial is working fine (tested by me):

Okay...understood
Isn't it time to remove the aff link for Crissic?
@jvnadr...okay it is going to sound stupid...because it is...I don't know from where I added it...so to remove it :-p
hahaha! Press your name and enter your membership page. Then, press the button "Edit profile" on the right top of the page. There is a list with options on the (new page's) top right position, the last one says "signature settings". There it is!
Thanx :-)

yum install ffmpeg
