    $450/month for plex

    $300/month for owncloud

    $150/month for CDN Services

    $80/month for blog/other sites

    $55/month for kimsufi seedboxes

    $400/year for domains

    $120/year for ssl

    $8/quarter for Ramnode VPN

God i spend alot. Not to mention taxes and shitty CAD / USD exchange rate on top of that (since Canadian)

I want to know what you are hosting on those servers for you to be spending that much but I doubt you will tell me.

Why don't you merge plex seedbox and owncloud?

A family could live off $1000/mo!

Where exactly? You definitely can't survive off of that in California.

For my own entertainment: ~ $13 / month
Spread across a KS-1 and a hand full of VPS with different providers.
As soon as promotional credits are gone and I renew some boxes I won it will go up to ~ $25 / month. :/

  • around $5 USD/mo (handling a low spec VPS)

Highly depends on how much I'm surfing through offers I can't resist to..

VPS I have and will definitely keep:
    7$/month RamNode
    7$/year VPSDime

    Right now I got
-5 NAT VPS (128MB) which are idling (like 90% of NAT VPS do, don't they)
-64MB and a 96MB yearly paid VPS from BandwagonHost
    -VPS for 5€/month from BlazingFast
-2 VPS with @cociu, the 1,99€/month and the 2,49€/month specials
    -the yearly deal by phase7
-a free NAT VPS in France (by abc-hosters)
    -2,97€/quarterly 256MB kvm with host-on
-an 1GB VPS with GalaxyHostPlus, slow as it would be running on a kidechire and my neighbors are mining bitcoin..
    -the 13$/year special by crissic
-the 256MB plan by IPSystems Ltd.

So, you can calculate it yourself if you want to know the overall amount.. Most of all these VPSs are just idling.

And I got a hosting plan with @ZweiTiger to do a complete list

So, guess a rehab would be fine for me as well. I guess this means something, if you already got a hole VPS just for dns testing (not even serving, just using dig on it most of the time)

  • business or private use, if private around $50.

35 euros/month for 1 dedicated with hetzner. 5 euros /month for 1 dedicated with OVH. Don't know exactly but something like 10-15 dollars/year for 1 vps with crissic. 2-3 dollars/month for short time instances with vultr and linode.

Primarily work as a freelance web-dev and manage servers for a bunch of clients. In addition to that, I am also involved with a couple of startups in leadership roles.

All in all, I pay for, and manage a bunch of dedicated servers with Leaseweb, OVH and Hetzner for major projects ~ 300EUR/month

In addition to that, lots of smaller projects / standalone websites / mail servers go to a bunch of LEBs ~ 40EUR and a couple of cpanel/WHM based re-seller platforms ~ 20EUR

    Total ~ 360EUR/month.
