My vps goes down everyday almost at the same time... something fishy going on
I give up with this one.
their node name makes no sense
>
You make little to no sense some times.
@ Ruriko - mine's not quite that bad. Two unexplained reboots in 6 days. Not ideal but for all I'm using it for I can live with it.
They're also horrendously overloaded, it seems. Not that I expected anything else...
Here's a small apt-get on my edis yearly vps:

takes 16x as long to do the apt-get, and the dd result is ~23x faster on the edis.
This is fresh 5 minutes after a reboot, btw. Nothing running in the background.
My yearly Edis is good for the price. This Hostslim one is godawful though. I'll submit a ticket and see what they say. Maybe someone's spanking the node and they don't monitor the load...
Got a reply back in ~6 hours. It's slow because the RAID is rebuilding. Hopefully the faulty RAID was also the cause of the crashes/reboots, and it'll be nice from now on.
That's more like it.
@Gary node?
vpsmain011
Node - vpsmain012
Is node localhost == node vpsmain11?
Originally my box is in node localhost then transferred to node vpsmain012. Day by day, the slowness is getting worse.
I/O speed : 18.8 MB/s
(on node localhost) -.-
More Promo I guess?
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1182879
Lol why do they keep on promoting more sales when they still have dodgy IO/Network
A. To get a lot of clients and then sell the business (discussed earlier in the thread)
B. To make moneyz by severely overloading the nodes
My IO/speeds are still decent, obviously not as nice as when it was new but it's still acceptable for $3/month. I'm getting pretty close to 1TB bw used, so I feel like I got my 3 bucks worth even if they jump ship.

That's with some load.
Most likely A.

--> I am still paying and running. Excellent back up server.
Can't resist. Paid one on the first sight.
lol they're doing another 75% discount
I paid the first invoice, wasn't sure if I wanted to renew it, ending up letting it lapse and they keep sending me an invoice overdue notice from months ago, followed by a suspension notice and yet my VPS is still online. It wasn't that amazing performance why but the specs were okay and if they wanna leave it online I won't stop them.
Guess they do not like to cancel servers are being requested to...
Actually their routing is good. Lowest ping to Europe datacenter (at least for my connection).
The price is quite good compared to their discounted price.
buy one i see the Cpu only 1 Core (not interest with CPU 1 Core) VPS use only for learn
I just realized it's quite more cheaper if you buy annually
They give another 75% promo now
A 1GB is just 2,5EUR
I got mine two days ago.
So far, it's quite good for the price.
Good performances but a bit unresponsive.
Would make a good backup VPS (at that discount price).

Wow that is so slow no wonder why I can't install anything -_-
http://imagebin.org/235634 .. cpu usage reached 2.35 . even though none of the load comes from my VPS..
Updating a newly installed Debian 6 VPS (2GB ram/2GB Vswap/3cores) with no websites or traffic on VPSMAIN0130 today:
The following packages will be upgraded: apache2 apache2-doc apache2-mpm-prefork apache2-utils apache2.2-bin apache2.2-common base-files bind9 bind9-host bind9utils debian-archive-keyring dhcp3-client dhcp3-common dpkg dselect expat isc-dhcp-client isc-dhcp-common libbind9-60 libc-bin libc6 libdns69 libexpat1 libgssapi-krb5-2 libisc62 libisccc60 libisccfg62 libk5crypto3 libkrb5-3 libkrb5support0 liblwres60 libxml2 locales tzdata 34 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 22.0 MB of archives. After this operation, 8192 B disk space will be freed.
Update start time: 9:47pm
Update finish time: 11:20pm
1 1/2 hours for a small upgrade that should only take 1-2 minutes. I tried installing Webmin earlier today and after 5 hours that simple install still hadn't finished. "75% off" sales aren't a bargain when the server is so oversold that it becomes unusable.
The basic 1GB plan you're paying for includes 1GB VSwap and 2 cores but with HostSlim you need to open a support ticket to have them enable the VSwap and 2nd core.
I had 5 WordPress blogs running on a HostSlim business plan (4GB ram/4GB Vswap, 4 cores on an E3-1230) and the server load averaged 1.18 and server load would sometimes hit 25.00-35.00, and apache was constantly crashing. I moved them to an openvz plan (3GB ram, 0 swap, 4 cores on an E5-2620) at Prometeus and the server load averages 0.39 and has never gone above 1.40, and apache never crashes.
