Like joepie91 said VAT is charged only from customers from EU countries and VAT is different for each country, it is not possible to provide price with VAT due to it's different for each customer. Also VAT is not charged from companies with valid VAT number and until customer enters all order information our system is not able to show final price.
As you probably already noticed from other replays on this discussion, unfortunately we do not make backups for storage servers. However you are able to do it for yourself, for example with 'rsyn' to your other server.
What about listing prices with clear tag "without VAT"? Even this is not possible?
You are using some kind of geo-IP location later at checkout (country is correctly pre-selected). Why not use the same service to recalculate price-list with correct VAT? Not possible?
If you are still looking for something similar we can do this package.
1 [email protected]
256 MB RAM
100 GB HDD
1IPv4
4TB BW/m
€25/y ~ $29USD/y
This will be a custom package, so let me know if you are interested so that we can add a special link/product for you on our billing system.
Regards,
A large proportion of customers are not charged with VAT at all and for thous who are (only legal persons of EU countries) are informed about VAT charges near the list of payment methods we accept: "VAT will be added to EU customers based on the Member State VAT rate where the customer is located unless a valid VAT number is provided."
Not all customers from EU countries are charged with VAT, like I said only legal persons are, we do not charge natural persons if they provide VAT number. Also VAT is not added regarding country's IP you are using to visit our website. VAT is added regarding provided account details (for example you can be from Germany, but you are on vacation in Italy. You will be charged not with Italy, but with Germany VAT despite your IP is Italian).
However, we apologize if our current pricing seems inconvenient for you.
We can do the following plan:
2GB Memory
150GB Storage
2 vCPU Fair Use
5TB Bandwidth
Xen HVM Virtualization
1 IPv4 address
£25 per year

The confirmation of the country (by submitting the form) counts as an extra data point under the new EU VAT laws. That's why it's possible there, but not in the pricing overview.
I think he's referring to adding it to the price overview, like here:
You could just add a small
ex. VAT
tag under each price, and that'd clear things up a lot moreYour first post is a garbage? Well Done! Continue this way!
(Aruba cloud has only 20GB storage, not 80GB OP is asking for)
Thanks for suggestion, we take it into account and will try our best to implement this or similar solution to better inform customers from EU about VAT charges for them.
