Seems incero is coming out with a vps / cloud service . They are giving away beta signups at sxsw.

I honestly don't know many details yet, however did get my hands on one and decided to run a benchmark on it. Enjoy: http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/03/11/rFr9U99aZDquyo0h
Please note: this is a beta

Not bad. I wonder what the pricing/plans will be like.
@wdq no idea, I couldn't find it listed. I probably would know more if I had went to sxsw...
Portal2
@jarland exactly. I'm sure you noticed the GUI change recently
It's sexy. Ryan spun up one of the clouds but I haven't tried it yet.
@jarland seems decent so far, resizing didn't work yesterday, haven't tried today
so it looks like they have great peering to softlayer, but really nothing special to anywhere else?
@fly Not entirely, It may just being hit from benchmarks and such>

Those two are from benchmarks of an SSD plan we offer out of incero. Overall decent speeds
I mean you're not going to get gigabit straight from Dallas to North Korea or anything. Consistently above acceptable to more locations than not, that's really all anyone can boast without pushing costs up so high that you limit your potential client base to a very small set.
Well said
IDK why they didn't get incerovapor.com...
@RobertClarke I thought the same... always possible it is just a placeholder name, idk
Oh boy
@Fliphost does it come with IPv6?
Seems someone just bought it
@Patrick Not that I can see yet. Though considering they don't offer Ipv6 to ded. customers yet Im not expecting it
I see, don't rely much on what Gordon says you see...why we left them months ago...
Anyways they were building up that new portal which does look good, so best of luck to them on the cloud
I'm boycotting IPv6. I don't want your fancy new stuff!
Last I asked him about it, It is on the list but is prioritizing other upgrades first.
Only really downside about incero, everything else works great.
anyone have a link for signup? or is it invite-only?
Incero.com/cloud
cp looks to be alpha at best
Any idea how much time it will work ?
@darknessends no
@fly improved tons from when they first launched it
What virtualization are using?
@prometeus Openvz I believe
looks like openvz
Hate to say this, but it looks just like a regular OVZ VPS not HA
Why do I think that?
1. OVZ
2. If we look on the IOPing on the serverbear tests we see that they are all 0.1 ms, which isn't possible with a SAN
from a certain point of view openvz is easy and flexible to use for "elastic computing"
everything is cloud these days...
@prometeus, I am on their cloud, do u have a specific inquiry or command u need to run?
