No Singapore DC option! Where is it?
As far as I understand it is a KVM thing, and changing it doesn't change the CPU you are getting
Singapore (and now Vienna) are now full.
oh OK!
Any plans to restock for Singapore?
Yes, it's in progress so we hope to reopen in about 3-4 days.
@dediserve It's not ! KVM based systems can (and always do!) pass through the CPU info
And I know it's not going to change my CPU but it's going to show a certain amount
Of transparency from the provider which is really important (at least from my point of view)
Here are only 2 examples of 2 more powerful VPSs I have and as you can
See different OS, specs, control panel and different providers
This screen cap from ServerCow a hosting provider i reviewed her on LET
Before and proved to be one the best I've ever tried for the price
**So its not a KVM thing ...
Anyway I was asking not because it's a deal breaker for me but because
I am preparing a review and a full comparison between 9 providers from
All "sizes" and i wanted to be sure of every word i will write ...
Thanks for your time

It's certainly something I'll raise with our admins. Obviously our E5-2660V2s would be much more powerful in real terms than an E3
@dediserve I agree it should on cpu to cpu base but I am testing a 2 cores VPS on your servers while The other two here have 4, and 6 cores(this one is E5 too) respectively this is why I said more powerful
Anyway I am testing yours now, we shall see...
Have a nice day
Sounds great and you too
A server in Frankfurt
That's clearly not a 2660V2
From that you are on an older blade ( still running xen too from the looks of it)
All currently active blades since about a year ago are g8 running the v2
Can I confirm - are the Sydney hosts in this offer running KVM now? I was previously on them running Xen.
Yes. All active are KVM in sydney
jakarta or singapore please
@dediserve how to convert my existing standard 2 GB resources into this special resources?
will be wait, btw sg is KVM right?
@dediserve: I may use windows 2012 template with my own license?
@dediserve Hi, Is this offer non scale-able ? In other words do we have the access to the resources scale option where we can add extra RAM or CPUs ?
Correct, it's a special, single instance plan.
If you need scale / different specs, I can provide a 50% recurring code via MSG for our regular pools
We've closed this offer for now, due to the exceedingly high level of subscription!
Phew. Now my money safe and sound.
Oh no! Still haven't got the Singapore server
@dediserve thanks as usual, So I can't scale my current system but I can exchange by another scale-able system and you will provide me a 50% discount code for the new one, Am I getting this right ?
i have a kvm and this is what i get for cpu
$cat /proc/cpuinfo ... vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 13 model name : QEMU Virtual CPU version (cpu64-rhel6) ..
how are you reading real cpu values on other kvm?
@ehab Hi, the cpu info can be passed through in KVM systems if the owner/manager
Of the server chooses to ...
My account on ServerCow at first was holding the real specs of the CPUs so I asked
The support to pass it and they did, It's very easy actually but some providers prefer
To hold it back to prevent their customers from knowing the real CPUs they have
You will need to restart your VPS after they (the support) make the change
And its not only ServerCow by the way, the first screen cap is from my vps on Virtono
now i understand, thank you. asalam alkoum
ps. from now i think i will shout to all providers who hide anything lol..
LOL ... Go ahead and I will support all the way !
Afaiu, the issue we have is that changing it would possibly break some things onapp do by default, but I have raised it internally.
Damn closed, I'm not buying NL location yet
