Congrats! :-) The early bird thing... Or it's Karma for getting up that early for the relatives.
What are you going to do with it? Give us all the details
NVM. It was a KS2
Seedbox.
Despite it does not seem true, they exist.
once you get a KS-1 then its downhill from there hahah j/k ... price really matters afterwards.
congrats raindog, this really must be good karma. take care on this rare exemplare
LowEndPorn
Really...is there any other kind?
Hmm...Atom N2800 (2c/4t @1.86Ghz), 4GB RAM, and a single 500GB drive with 24,580 hours on...
I'm thinking there's at least 32 OvZ guests here. I'm planning to offer 4GB with 100GB disk, unlimited bandwidth on shared 1Gbps port (shhh...), $30/year triannual prepay, provisioning slightly delayed because we're under DDOS attack = $960 cash before I let the 5EUR hosting bill lapse as I depart to LowEndParaguay.
Since you have only one IPv4, I suggest to design your order page to allow only one order every 30 minutes. That should be enough time to order, log in and run benchmarks. There will always be an odd client who'll want to use their server later so make sure you have a working support system where they can contact you and then you can just assign this single IP to them.
Despite it has only one IPv4, he could do IPv6 only I guess. Or is only one v6 address available?
No provider tag, try again with something else :P
Mods please don't approve this guy, pure sc*m incoming XDD
Use code BANTHEONLYDK for 25% recurring!
I remember getting up at 3am to order a BuyVM from @Francisco back in the day...
In fact, now that I think about it, every time I've ever inconvenienced myself, it was to buy something dirt cheap. When I'm buying something expensive, people meet with me on a Saturday afternoon, offer me coffee, and give me a nice chair to sit in.
Ultracheap VM? Underwear around my ankles at 3am, typing my credit card on an ipad while I sit on the toilet.
You could say you have ordered some very shitty servers.
You should be used to that in the meantime... ;-)
Find me another use for a KS1....
When I saw "DO" in the title I though you were going to talk about DigitalOcean :P

and that's on Kidechires, i.e.only a single-core CPU, not even dual-core with HT like the KS1.
4GB ram on a KS-1 ? premium!
I have 4 just been idling for ages. I could give them back but that would make them available for others and I am just not that thoughtful.
Im giving mine back! everyone line up to buy it on the 20th.
30$/year for 3 years = 90$
90$ x 32 = 2880$
You're welcome.
Make that 50% and we have a deal! I'll sacrifice myself for the greater good.
I've happily run Plex and Emby servers on KS-1's, a little bit of ownCloud, also makes for a nice reliable remote desktop machine, decent Usenet indexer....and that's just the uses my 2 have been put to over the years.
For me, Kimsufi is like this:
convenient seedbox, never got any DMCA hassles (of course, since I'm just downloading Linux ISOs, why would I?)
network is fine. Not blazing by any means but fine.
bringing stuff back home takes forever because apparently my ISP only buys so much Cogent commit or something because I get slow speeds sometimes. It's sometimes faster for me to copy somewhere else and then home...I might try Dropbox for this purpose since it can serve as a global middle man.
only one HDD so it's not something I'd ever trust. But I can point my ansible rules at a fresh host and be up and running in minutes, so HDD loss in this case doesn't bother me.
I think this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership. I'll lie to them, you bill them.

That's why I sync every KS with insync 24/7. As you got unmetered bandwidth, this option shouldn't be a problem.
Wait, what? Free server?
