AS stated on their Twitter, XC 2016 is now 1TB HDD, i just opened a ticket to ask if old users is able to upgrade for free, their reply is below:
Sorry but it's not possible because it's not the same server.
You have to order this new server and make a termination of the old server.

20 Euro is nothing - compare this to Hetzner were we've paid 149 Euro and had to pay another installation fee to just upgrade the RAM.
It's the SC which is 9€ (+VAT)

I've bought Dedibox LT 2015 server 1.5 years ago which is cost €39.99 it's Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3 1231 v3 @ 3.40GHz. And now they provide Intel® Xeon® E3 1245 v5 @3.5 Ghz better server for same price. They've rejected me when I ask free upgrade.
So I feel they treat better for new customers rather than very old customers. And I hate their setup fees.
@Vbro so if they did upgrade you for free, what would they do with that old server, which they already bought and with the price they charge for it, it wouldn't even pay for the hardware in several years? Of course those setup fees are there for a reason.
When HP/Dell/whoever release a new computer, they should upgrade your slow and shitty to this latest and greatest for free of charge just because they both cost the same at their launch time.
This is highly normal, the servers are massively different. It isn't like you plot in a new CPU and done.
V1 is a ton different than v5 series of CPU. They would need to replace the whole motherboard and everything to upgrade. It isn't like you drop in the new CPU and go.
Frankly I think you are both whinny little bitches though. Maybe you should learn things cost money. If you really want to upgrade backup your files and order the new one.
