If you for some reason want more norwegian locations:

    Ueno.no: Kristiansand

    Terrahost.no: Sandefjord

    Webhuset.no: Bergen

    StayOn.no: Ålesund

    Fjordane-it.no: Gaupne

    Easyisp.no: Førde

    Edit:
    Proisp.no: Stavanger

  • ricardo said: I just rely on Maxmind to determine location rather than the provider's advertised location.

Some of them might be wrong then as Maxmind tends to give the location of the company rather than the server.

Maxmind gives the location of what the IP is that someone sends a correction for.
The default values that maxmind uses are based on what the RIR allocation country is (which most of the time is the country of the company also)

You should go with these, http://oneprovider.com/onecloud/ssd-virtual-servers 24+ locations available within your budget. I had a server with them a few years ago and their support was good.

You will have all your servers within one control panel which is a huge plus and this is a serious company.

@Wicked I am already using Oneprovider but they dont allow all locations on the $5 plan. Mexico and some others are only available for $20

Yep fully aware. OP is probably more concerned with physical location than I am. Sometimes its apparent location to the rest of the world is more important to me.

  • @NanoG6 Dediserve. But Singapore and Jakarta have been very unstable lately.

Both locations have been 100% for many months now (Hong Kong too) What instability are you seeing?

Weird timeouts when sending data to AWS. I set a 10 second timeout with 6 retries and it still fails sometimes. If I just set 1 try I will be getting failure emails non-stop. It could have issues once per minute or once per 5 minutes. Its very hard to catch it in action when logged in into the server. Thats why I gave up on debugging it.

I have 4 servers in Singapore and only the Dediserve one is having this problem for some reason. Plus out of the 95 servers I have, only those 2 fail so often.

how about you start a paid service "small fee" for ping or tracerout testing... i mean it can be limited to avoid abuse... think about it :) [ source node -> target node ]

if you do up such an app then i'm in... regards.
