At least it's not a replacement for Dedibox Classic which is still pending update for 2016. It should get Xeon® E3 1220 v5 and 32 GB RAM + 2x 250 GB SSD at least.
Would be all over it if not for the setup fee...
I could use my fingers to calculate faster than that CPU.
They are trying to be competitive, the specs are quite good but they should focus on the CPU as well.

The CPU is was released in May 2012, so it's now 4 year old just like the whole server. Probably just the RAM and HDD's are new. Even the limited edition for 15,99 Euro had 1220v2, but this server is marked as ST (storage) so they always got very poor CPU's.

it's slow & old and for a 60eur setup i would expect much better
any setup fee makes me think many many times and often let it go, but since its for storage then can of value to someone.
If I'm going to get a storage server I'd go with dacentec X3440 with 4x2TB, making it $45/month but no setup fee. Just my 0.02.
That CPU isn't that bad, just the set up fee.
I'm still using a P4 as my home server (not 24/7, can't afford the electricity cost), gets everything done, slowly but surely.
P4 with some nix or xp? wow, as long as components work then its oky, i recall in 2007 getting ram for those was expensive. anyway thumbs up

ovh had the worst support for YEARS.
ovh had for YEARS network problems with UPC and DTAG.
ovh changed their traffic model in the past so often, that no real company could use em for some real production stuff, only for torrent crap.
only good thing about ovh is their big network now and the ddos protection.
They hate online maybe because setup fee.
But i love they dedibox, wkwkwkwk

It's nothing with PayPal. They don't accept credit cards without i3d security system.
It's not true. My card does not have 3D Secure and is accepted without any issues.
