  • I'm using Virgin Media and not seeing any issues.

I think there may be a problem at Level3 and a few others. Not completely sure tho.

@Martin: None whatsoever? hmm.. That's wierd.

  • @Infinity: Nope, US websites seem to be working, including LET/Gravatar, not losing any packets to LET either.

Extremely wierd and frustrating, this happens to me every week or so but this time I wasn't the only one. A friend also has a few problems.

  • Sorry to drag up this old topic again now,

I'm now seeing issues with Virgin Media, possibly limited to the South East, I'm unable to reach certain sites/IP's but others work just fine.. using a VPN on a server I can reach everything is working ok.

  • It's probably the internet terrorists.

That feel when problems with Virgin Media are discussed in the "whole internet broken"-thread.

  • @breton said: Possibly. I don't have any issues with it in Uzbekistan.

They have updated their twitter account, saying about the issues now.

It was all broken to me, without the VPN..

  • There was even a news article about the recent problems today

(its in german, use Google Translate to read it)

  • Only 10Mbps at your home? I'm supposed to have 1.5 but I get less than that. We pay like $40 for it, too.

Yes, it is completely fuxed today. Some routing exchange in London has gone offline. This is nationwide now, quite annoying.

@brenton Well the whole internet is broken from here minus a few sites/ip's, I'm on a proxy atm.

    1) Unplug your uplink to your modem (VERY IMPORTANT: Hold upright and do not let any internet spill out!)
    2) Blow into the uplink port to clean out the dust that could block the internet (similar to how you would fix an NES).
    3) Plug the uplink back into your port very carefully while holding your breath so no dust is blown back into the port and no internet spills out.
    4) Let your modem sit for 24 hours so that it doesn't feel self conscious when you go to use it again (let's face it, you are just using it for the sexy internets it gives but don't let it think that).

  • @breton stole my idea, @KuJoe just went awesome on us.

  • @KuJoe ... I envy you.

Uh, it appears I have some dead pixels when I go to google.com.
So anybody here know a good monitor replacemen.... oh wait I searched something on google and now I only have dead pixels in the corner.....

OH. Now i'm on here and I have them all working. Weird day man. Internetz be stealing my pixels.

  • To fix your pixel issue you have to insert a ring of quarters onto your DVD tray and then push them in. It will upload your monies to a pixel repair service. Don't forget to leave a tip.

Its working normally for me, did the blackout already end or are they using GeoIP to only black it out for American visitors?

  • If you are at work it could possible be that the content is blocked at your office?

No no CD is for Cup Docking. You need to insert the quarters into the one below that.
