Oh baby this is going to be handy. What would be even more awesome is if you could do bulk transfers somehow.

@rds100 We using KVM live migration with solusvm 1.13. You can use KVM live migrations today. You only need the virsh migrate command and solusvm api. I wrote a small bash script to do it automatically. Works fine..

I think a working backup solution for customers kvm vpses should be better..

@RobertClarke Yes bulk would be awesome

I could see bulk transfer unintended effect. Kid host migrates from first month free to first month free all year long without getting tired of it.

@jarland Thats a lot of IP changes.

Anyways you can already do bulk via cli however I find it not as reliable. Works say 9/10

Might see that one happening yes. Haha!

Read the blog post :) It's for all the virtualization types.

  • Now if we could get an improved API we would be all set! :)

    Better than?

As you know we are working on the backup solution. The migration system is based on some of the new backup system functions.

  • @Jack said: @soluslabs well done! only took a few years :P

    Thanks, appreciated!

  • @soluslabs

How about more option for the client api like os reload and vnc/serial and other stuff in general.

Would make using on my android a lots easier.

    Cheers

@soluslabs Better than live migration. That can be done by virsh (libvirt) with a few commands. Is the new backup solution in 1.14? But nice work soluslabs :)

    @soluslabs - qcow? :)

  • @RobertClarke Surely it'll be a PHP script, and then just make it 'loop' through ID 1-50 the script... Possibly?

  • Thank you @soluslabs - I am really looking forward to 1.14 - I hope that it will be released soon :)

I just wonder... if you have two network interfaces on the two nodes (in the same DC for example), i.e. one public and one private, which interface would the migration goes through?
