    BLR1 has a slower core but you get about 50-75ms latency to large Indian metros, and 200+ms elsewhere. Unless latency is super important, I think Singapore is still the better option - faster core and better network.

    ---> Various mobile ISPs in Cochin, Kerala(550km from BLR) :
    Tata Photon Plus (CDMA) avg 210ms
    BSNL 3G HSDPA 169ms
    Idea 3G 98ms

    I am in Cochin, Kerala too and my result on the ping is, for BLR(BLR1)
    Minimum = 62ms, Maximum = 65ms, Average = 63ms
    and SGP(SGP1)
    Minimum = 59ms, Maximum = 66ms, Average = 61ms

    btw I have a wired connection (DOCSIS 3.0).

    ~70ms ping from West Bengal, on Alliance Broadband.

    Well peering to Airtel and Reliance seems to do most southern part work. But peering with Tata (VSNL) and Vodafone India would be better more. I think.

    They use the same nodes in Germany (FRA1). Seems like this is just their "new generation" kind of nodes, won't be surprised if all their new DCs or expansions will use that.

    Keep in mind this might improve over the next days or weeks. Back when DO SG launched, it had super terrible routing to most places, even to half of Singapore itself. But this got fixed pretty quickly.

    I am pretty happy for this, had to use SG one before now instead of relying on some other local hosts, i can rely on DO.

    Godaddy doesn't have servers in India, just support and sales.
