  • dediserve said: 500Mbps Internet Uplink

So my old regular cloud node only has 250Mbps, and this new let offers 500Mbps?

There's perhaps 8100 GB of SSD. At 30 GB per VM, that's a maximum of 270 VMs. Assuming 14 blade servers in the enclosure used for hosting clients, and 10 cores/20 threads per CPU, I'm guessing they have just enough capacity to give a dedicated thread.

Have a feeling I'm totally wrong though

Yea I wanted to ask if its a thread or core.

  • core ? not thread ?

    Thanked by 1dediserve
  • @sirmbhe - Engineers are onsite all week - won't be long now

@wwabbit @masterqq @Junkless - It's a core as defined by onapp / KVM - which is a thread (single core / thread). Our VMs range from 1GB RAM to some at 128GB RAM, so there is no hard and fast rule on our clouds in terms of use.

That's how the freevps script outputs it. Run the script on any VPS that gets over 1GB on DD and you'll see the same.

Here's another one I just ran now:

    Disk Speed

    I/O (1st run) : 1.1 GB/s

Generally the promos are for the duration, any future additions would be at the prevailing rate

  • When Jakarta will be available?
