    yes

    vlan tagging is beautiful

  • It probably is a lot better than messing around with manual ip adjustments and different subnets hoping they'll work after a reboot.

Isn't virtio the recommended driver even for windows?

But it's need to be "installed(NetKVM")" during installation of windows.

It shouldn't do (not for the network drivers anyway), should be able to install it anytime.

I'd also recommend getting the virtIO drivers installed and then making the HDD/Storage virtIO it makes a big difference (That one ideally does need doing during setup, if not you could add small a 2nd drive as virtio then once the drivers are installed for that switch the main one and It will probably work)

  • Yeah, I later realized it's really easy to do that from inside windows. It only needs the raw files in a directory for Device Manager(Is that the correct name?)/Ethernet Adapter to work. Works either via packaged inside the original windows installer iso or just the original virtio iso from redhat/fedora etc sites which can be mounted easily in proxmox and virtualbox.
