OVH is pretty good if you just want a high performance server at a low price, but don't mind the quality of protection too much.

You'll be a lot happier with your game server on OVH. Consider leaving it on permanent protection mode (might increase ping a small amount) if you are being constantly attacked.

I actually have had several OVH dedicated servers in the past, and protection has been absolutely terrible even with permanent mode on.
So I am talking from 100% experience.

Not sure if i have weight here... OVH is not so bad, the "game" protection is fairly good for usually rather hard to protect UDP based services (Teamspeak and MTA as prime examples), i'd put it for Volume a bit above Voxility but below CF/Verisign/Akamai and for speciality protection (gameservers etc.) on near top with game series, especially considering the price.
