Some insane (OVH/DDoS protected/RAID10) $7 7GB/mo, $15 yearly unlimited bandwidth or 3GB RAM offers!

I've been transfered a few decent OVH servers so what better use for them than to sell VPS's at stupid prices! I'm running these offers through the provider I work for, DediStation.com. DediStation has UK and native Chinese support, and offers budget VPS servers with offers and support different from what you might get direct at OVH.

These offers are located at OVH Canada, on a 256gb DDR3 with single E5-1620s and 6x 7200rpm SAS drives in RAID10 with 1Gbps guaranteed bandwidth ("Premium Bandwidth OVH/Internet"). No SLA guarantee on these offers, but if a node goes down all VPS's affected get a free month of service. This does not cover DDoS attacks, but the node is covered by OVH's anti DDoS and we can customise permanent mitigation or firewall rules as required.

    Asian location we need :)

  • It mentions DDR4 in the server description but DDR3 on the plans? Which is it haha!

You should get a group of people together and buy a large softlayer server in Asia, then divide it between everyone that contributes!

All DDR3 for Canada, some other locations are DDR4. Where did you see DDR4 at? Or is it all a big scam and I'm using DDR2!?

any benchmark? unixbench? for the 3gb one.

    thanks.

  • Got smaller plans? Say, 256MB of RAM? :) Still looking around for 5, dedicated IP for each would be awesome.

Let me answer this with a quote of your own offer.

I was looking at your TOS. Seems to be a copy/past of RamNode https://dedistation.com/TOS.html

native Chinese support, and offers budget VPS servers with offers and support different from what you might get direct at OVH.

Not being rude, but it's no difference between Chinese support and OVH French support both useless and can't understand what they selling or do support and at the same time rude (just from personal experience elsewhere).

  • Any AUP & ToS?

I won't be using you again after you failed HostWithLinux...

    Same stupidity, E5-1620 can't support DDR4.

    Is dual E5-1620 possible?

I'm not disbelieving your server specs I've just never heard of it. I've seen dual E5-2609 and dual E5-2620. Only ever seen a E5-1620 or E5-1650 as a single CPU though.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :)

    Great VPS deals regardless!

I don't think it has QPI link availability. However I'm not an expert.

IMHO, after what happened with HostWithLinux, I wouldn't touch this

What server is this with OVH?? Dual e5 1620? 256GB DDR4? 6x SAS? Link me please. (I know it's not possible.)

It said DDR4 the first time I read it. lol.

  • MCHPhil said: It said DDR4 the first time I read it. lol.

Yrp it's not DDR4, I've checked again. Sent you a PM on the server config and some other stuff

I'd check everything else you were sold. Dual e5 1620? Not possible. Not possible with any of the e5-1XXX chips from my understanding. But I replied to your PM, take your choice where to reply if you'd like.

As others have stated in this thread :/
