Thread is dead over a month, no need to bump it

Did you just ask @jarland to stop bumping a thread. Oh boy... lol.

It's a fucking 3$/year service with no guarantees. Should be clear that nodes can fuck up all time.

Paying $3 a year doesn't warrant such careless behavior. This termination was avoidable. If it were downtime, then yes, it's only $3 per year, but this was because someone wasn't using their brains.

  • My 64mb piece of crap hasn't been up for about 3 months.. Just cancelled it, total waste of $1.39 USD ..

  • HostingSpecialists said: NexHost seems a bit dangerous to use if you have important data...

that's the same for 99% of the hosts here. it's called low end for a reason.

  • Yep and RAID is not a backup- seen many RAID cards die from the lowest end provider and up to ones with name recognition on here (won't air out old dirty laundry)

He wasn't the first but he did participate in posting, causing it bump back to the top and now more people are posting here lol.

You had a NAT Service in Seattle the server was pulled before it was taken over. I saw the cancellation request and re-created it for you.

Why? I cancelled it, these are rubbish no offense. They always were rubbish.

Thanks for taking the initiative though.

It would sound crazy, but I hope (Jason?) can get NextHost running... if you need a financial partner, we can talk

If that's how you handle cancellations, you're fucked mate.

  • It was not because they continue with these post

I think he re created it due to the fact it was offline from the move.

I appreciate that he took the time to re create it due to that fact, however like I said they're rubbish being 64mb of ram you can't do much, I only purchased it since I'm a cheap skate and it waste $1.35.

Plus I wanted to see how NexHost ran, purchased back when it was being run by Mark so it has nothing to do with who's at the helm now.

  • My dollarvps is also offline and cannot boot by anyway.

  • I renewed the annual service in the end of October and it was cancelled short after without any type of communication effort. Nice way to manage a business...

Service type would be useful to know?

We don't just terminate services randomly without any reason. we have had to drop services or have had services removed that has been out of our Control.

These services was dropped by the old owner and we are restoring the service if you contact us. Please Submit a Ticket and we will create you a new VPS.

    I have responded.

Why ask me to check it when I saw it the exact moment you created it and and bumped it.

I hadn't yet received notification of that, then I checked and saw you were working on that.

    What a dic*

  • interestingly, today, I found out that my account has been terminated. I received no warning, notification email or anything. I don't even do much with my VPS, just 3 websites are hosted which have very low traffic. I also have OpenVPN installed for personal use. That's it. I created a ticket this afternoon, and still haven't received any reply.

You have a VPS in Dallas it was terminated as on the 25th we dropped Dallas. You got a email about this several days ago but you might of not got one due to how many of the services they are.

Issuing refunds to everyone who is effected. Also you are still able to recover data. Once we have taken a backup we will remove the node completely.

Stevie said: ANY ETA when bitcoin refunds will be made?

Not able to issue any refunds until next month now.

  • A month wait? ouch :-(

Is that just for bitcoin payments?

That's a pretty sleazy move, you should have already had the refunds out before services were even disabled.
