Introduction

I was looking for a permanent host. After trying out BoltVM and it being a pretty good host, but after seeing how much the owner cares about it I decided to migrate to a brand new host.

So I found Ellipsis Node and contacted Matt(owner) to create a personalized plan for me. After everything went smooth I got myself a virtual private server and it's been pretty good!

The OVH ddos protection is very good, I was being attacked and Matt was able to help me out by enabling permanent protection which is perfect.

They also recently added a help desk, and they also have email support which is what I use most of the time. Uptime is very good, but once in a while there will be a restart either for an update of OpenVZ or something.

Conclusion (tl;dr)

My experience with Ellipsis Node was very joyful, great uptime, and fantastic support. They do say they've been in business for "2.29315068493" years (as of Saturday, Nov 14, 2015) which is always a plus in my book.

So if you're looking for a VPS for a really good price, then I highly recommend Ellipsis Node.

I was with them when they were HostNun :P Yeah, Matt was too much helpful. I used their Versaweb Server at that time.

  • How much do you pay for it @vladka24 ?

  • vladka24 said: Speculations

I think you mean Specifications :P

  • Due to the praising of the owner I checked out the site.

Does it look like this for everyone? i.imgur.com/qCtwgf7.png

Even if you choose one it won't show specs till you reach like the checkout page?

  • yes and yes.

  • Matt is a great guy, I have services with him for over a year (I think it's more close to 2 years now) and he is very stable.

  • Sounds really cool, I'll probably try this host for my canadian needs. Is OVH network good enough?

  • What are the specs of their plans? :P

Anyway, good luck for HostNun Ellipsisno.de

  • I just checked back in to this feed and I saw the so-so comments. You know what? Fucking awesome! That means people doubt the best VPS provider on LET, which means all those assholes won't crash my favorite providers servers, and my VPS will remain the best performing VPS on the web! W3rd!

You mean people doubt the one you can afford that gives you more than others for the money. The one who deadpooled Hostnun because it was a fail and will deadpool this one soon enough also.

Hosts like this will never last long, giving out free ram is not a good thing, it indicates that nobody is buying from them.

It's not enough to be a nice guy when running a 'business'.

Im pretty sure HostNun changed branding (https://vpsboard.com/topic/6908-hostnun-brand-closing-consolidating-into-ellipsisnode/), I don't think they deadpooled.

  • Do you know why @HostNun has finished doing new offers at LET?

OK, thanks. And does anybody use Ellipsis's shared, is it stable enough? Are most of their IPs clean?

Ok well maybe not DP however the issues were clear, the cost of even the basics such as WHMCS were killing the little profit he made so the new brand was stripped to the bone of everything to try and balance the very small financials.

Nothing wrong with compact well managed hosts. Obscure hosts however will only best serve a very limited appeal to the LE* type market.

Regardless, it will not be anything but an obscure host and he will get fed up with it in time and it will ultimately disappear.

  • @Lee said:

Yeah, yeah, we know you hate him. Fact is that it's been running for quite a while now, and is unlikely to disappear in the immediate future.
