Any provider that similar to Crissic?
In the light of recent Crissic buyout the days ahead seems unclear. I like them for their great performance at super value price with quality support. Perfect provider for my personal VPN server.
In preparation for possible migration, anyone can please recommend me the similar provider?with criteria like :
-Similar (or even better) basic OVZ package price.
-IPV4 (or at least /48 ipv6) with reasonable bandwidth
-And most important, excellent connection to Asia. (East West coast or even Asian server). Crissic LA was good at this. I'm southeast Asian btw.
-Spec doesn't matter. 64mb ram with 100mb space? I'll take it (lets hope not). Its solely for personal VPN afterall.
-openSUSE 13.1+ is highly preferred.
thanks.

What about the days ahead seem unclear exactly?? You went to one of the biggest, if not the biggest company on LE*. Not to mentioned one of the best support companies in the industry.
With all due respect, "the days ahead of you" seem very, very clear for you and your service. They have stated a number of times all services will still exist, with all products being able to be renewed.
You literally went to one of the best companies, and your trying to leave to possibly a shitty one
They're not one of the best on let when you consider that they're charging way more than most here as well. They better goddam well offer more with it. People are jumping ship because they KNOW QN has no plans to follow through with keeping crissic customers happy. The vague answers they're giving are a clear indication that the clients will be phased out eventually. Better to jump now than be kicked out later.
what about Ramnode? i used them for almost 2 years and very satisfied with them.
We're in the very same datacenter as Crissic was in, and we're doing price matches for refugee customers. Put simply, if you were at Crissic and want to stay in Jacksonville, we've got you covered.
Here's our offer - http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/60808/new-openvz-crissic-refugees-jacksonville-florida-usa#latest

Alexander & Co. provide an awesome service. Don't let the budget price fool you as they provide top notch services in the OpenVZ market. Excellent network and exceptional support. If you were a fan of the Crissic offerings, you won't go wrong with Hostus.
My annual prepaid Crissic VPS was doing poor, months before this acquisition
Even for a DNS server, write speed was taking too long.
I jump shipped to ramnode 3 mos. ago and couldn't be any happier. But I still have months left on that Crissic VPS.
I also have services with Cloudshards, pretty decent rates with coupons, good performance too.
You realize that at a certain point, the nodes will have such less usage that they would either migrate you to a stacked/busy one or they'll just shut all customers off altogether?
This is a play to shed as many customers as possible to reclaim their IPs.. If you think the light is better on Crissic nodes the more people jump, you will be in for some culture shock.
+1 HostUS

Many thanks for recommendations!
Studying the performance for each server now.
I have to use /64 for openvpn. (means I need /48 or /56(quite rare)).
One of my Linode server is allocated /48 and it work well with /64 but doesnt work with /112.
Well having IPv6 is not a main concern anyway. However having one that work would be nice.
They never explicitly said anything about renewal on the email.
When they dont state things clearly, you could safely assume unpleasant changes are underway.
@Bruce should be able to help with refugees too.
I'm happy to price-match from their recent offer
OVZ and KVM plans
Atlanta location
1Gb port
RAID HDD on all plans - RAID10 on KVM, RAID1 on OVZ (sorry, no SSD yet)
native IPv6
PM if you want more info
Your server is one of best performer based on my test.
But your AUP is quite restrictive and kinda scary lol. Instead of warn and terminate policy as majority of other provider, this one looking to prosecute me on caught violation.
While I'm not going to do anything nasty, I still sometimes download some *cough* torrents *cough* ..
Only the prosecutors can prosecute you, not a VPS host.
That being said, he can call the authorities when illegal activities are detected, this is valid for everyone, just that the majority does not bother.
