Is the download traffic counted?
Looking to use a vps to store my security home cameras video/pictures.
We don't have any SLA. Most months we have 100% uptime, but the occasional problem arises.
Yes, all traffic is counted. It resets on the first of every month.
The cached would be perfect for something like that.

I've never understood why DDoSing competition is even a thing. Why don't they just spend the resources on bettering their services...

Cores are not dedicated. Typically, load > 2 is a suspension or reboot, depending on how heavily the server is being utilized at that point. We're nicer about it when there's less usage. :P
I assume you open a ticket in that case explaining the issue, right?
Also, is single opt-in bulk email sending allowed?
We do open tickets, we're not savages!
If you get spam reports, it'll be a problem. Also, if you have too many SMTP connections, your VPS will be automatically suspended.

Yeah, we accidentally undersold the server, so we've had spare capacity there.
All Lightning VPS have been deployed. Thunder VPS will be deployed shortly.

You're not billed for days leading up to the VPS deployment. Thunder should be deployed within 30 minutes or so.

@Steven_F: nice service so far in New Jersey. this tends to be one of the best locations for low latency connections from europe... I get 9 hops <110ms to my home, looks very promising, hetzner <90ms, ovh <80ms - colocrossing isn't the worst after all ;-)

hopefully you can keep up to those speeds...
